So as I drive through this mess every day…I can’t help but think about how i’ve never seen a construction project in my life that was such an ongoing failure.
The blatantly obvious, is the amount of time…but lets even forget about that for now. The random “mounds” of asphalt all over the road, are a real treat to bounce around on. What is so hard about making a FLAT road?
Trying to pull into a driveway or another street even? Goodluck…hope you like the 2 foot drop, with no slope or anything leading up to it. I mean my car is lowered yes , but its definitely not slammed, and I’ve bottomed out more than once, just creeping along trying to be extra careful. They’ve kinda “half” paved one entrance, you’d think they would atleast attempt to make them all like that
Oh and I also like how on transit near regal they added all the sewer covers after the fact and now they are just big blobs ontop of the road, thats great too :tup:
I could go on, but i’m sure i’m not the only one who is getting annoyed with it haha Oh and semi related, how about under the airport tunnel that STILL isn’t fixed

i found a new route to work thank god. that mess was the worst thing to drive through, worse than when they were repaving the entire area around my house.
yep, and of course I have to go there 5 days a week for school and then directly across the street from ECC for work :banghead: I mean I know, buffalo has “construction season” and there always will be construction, but they just seem to be messing up even the easiest things
drive down packard road in niagara falls, when you get to hyde park you eiother had to turn left or right because the go straight bridge was closed, FOR TEN YEARS.
its open now, after ten years of construction, but the idiots pulling the strings in the falls still have crews paving all the streets that dont need it.
Lol at people with no construction experience calling out what is a fail or not. Until you realize the BS from the state that you have to go through, the order things have to be done in and all the complete idiots out there on the road that you are constantly dealing with you probably wont understand. We aren’t trying to make things hard for you, we just have a big job with a small window of time to get it done.
For every crew of 5 workers there needs to be 1 minority worker be it woman or african american.

Probably scrape outs of leftover crap from the truck drivers, those guys can be a giant pain in the ass and never listen. I’m not working that job thankfully it’s just I know exactly what they are going through and am glad I am out in the south towns working. I just find it funny when people bitch about how shitty our roads are, and then bitch when they are getting fixed. Unfortunately even when the road work is done that area will still be a pain in the ass to navigate. Too much bullshit, too many drivers and just not enough room to do anything about it.
I hear you on this, working with that state blows. All of my work in the prison industry is thru the different states and it takes forever and a day to get something done with them. Most of them are overpaid idiots.
Also on all of my contracts there is a set percentage I need to dedicate to Minorty, small business and women owned business or labor.
i hate everything about Transit…it’s terrible. There is literally NO HOUR OF THE DAY where it’s easy to get through the transit near wherle area…fucking retarded.

driving over the sewer drains on the concrete portion is ridiculous. not only is it annoying as hell in my van but something tells me snow plows are going to do a number on that once they start slamming into each and every drain. I understand it has to be a real pain in the ass to try and please everybody. especially the businesses you are working in front of.
The bottom line is a rough road is a failing road. how many times are they going to pave transit this year anyway.
Yea just wait for when the snow flies… that’ll be interesting.
Then on the other hand, you have another section of transit not even 5 minutes away (from antoinettes to genesee) that was paved in ~2 weeks and is smooth as can be. :gotme:
yea that werhle, transit construction is a mess, but it will be awesome once its done, just like southwestern took forever, but now the 5 corners and on pass ECCsouth is awesome to drive on now, and they added sidewalks for BILLS games, haha
when i go to school in the morning, i sometmies forget to go up to main street instead of wherle, and when i realize what ive done, i start trying to think of reasons not to kill myself.
