what are you talking about sam? i have a chip that the laptop writes to and then i disconnect the laptop. where do you get handheld anything from that? i tell it my rev limit, my nitrous settings, my clutch switch settings, launch limit, after tuning i save and that’s it. you guys really dont know what dsmlink even is. how is it manipulating signals to the stock ecu when the stock ecu is all contained in the chip i took out?

uhh sorry sam but the dsmlink works basically like a hondata. only dsmlink figured out a way years back on how to do it with one chip and not having to take out the chip, re-write it, then put it back in the ecu to see if it worked like the older style hondata’s did.

yeah that’s what the cable is for, to pull up info and write. it also datalogs through the cable which is why my laptop is going to stay in the car

how can you piggy back somethign that doesnt’ exist, all the stock fuel maps/trims everything is contained on the factory chip. you take that out and put a new one in that allows full control over that. it’s not a piggy back unless it’s in my garbage can talking to the other chip that i threw out 2 weeks ago.

that’s like taking aem internals sticking it inside the metal case of the ecu just for visuals, and calling it a piggyback

piggy back = intercepting signals from sensors to the ecu and converting them to “trick” the ecu and get the air/fuel and timing you desire…atleast from what i understand…i had a SAFC and it was on my car for one day…biggest piece of shit ever

you tell me how directly editing fuel maps and trims qualifies as being a piggy back and fooling the computer. there’s no definition that says there are standalones and piggy backs…there are programmable ecu’s also.
