I fucking hate smoking.
I got out of the bar scene for a while before the new smoking laws but have been to a few bars lately for happy hours and such. It is so nice that I can enjoy my Long Island Iced Tea without my eyes itching and turning red from all the cigarette smoke.
I really don’t get why I see people my age or younger who smoke. It’s common knowledge how bad it is for you…and yet I still see little high school sophomores smoking outside the mall. Retards.
i cant stand smoke, matter of fact im actually ALLERGIC to it. nothing annoys me more. its part of why i dont go out to big parties and such because i literally cannot breath with that shit in the air. i hate everything about smoking…matter of fact i try not to even hang out with people that smoke. out of my friends only 3 smoke. and they never do it in my general vicinity.
A smoking area in a building is like a peeing secion in a pool. If you want to smoke, go outside.
truthfully people smoking dosn’t bother me that much i just hate it how everyone i work with smokes and all take like five minute breaks every hour to go out and have a smoke, if i was to just stand around i would get yelled at.
Smoking in public buildings, bars, restaurants etc, should be illegal everywhere just like it is in NY. The people that work there shouldn’t be forced to breath in your smoke. And don’t give me that, “They should work somewhere else” bullshit either. There is long estabilished case law about unsafe working conditions that proves people don’t have to find another job.
The recent push is banning smoking outdoors in public places. That shouldn’t be illegal, but smokers do so little as a group to give themselves a better image. You obviously know most of us don’t want to breath in your smoke, yet you gather in a huge group right outside the door, and create a smoke cloud everyone has to walk through. You drop your cigarette butts where ever you feel, and toss them out your car window. Then you wonder why non-smokers vote for laws limiting where you can smoke?
LOL even if you go down south they are a lot more leniant.

having an enclosed smoking area inside a building should be no ones decision except the owner.
You people are rediculous. I’ll admit I think taking smoking out of bars was a good idea. I hate the smell on my clothes, and its a confined area that can really fill with smoke.
But off of public streets? I have no problem with someone having a smoke outside. It sucks that they smoke near the doors and you have to walk through the cloud. But do you have some medical problem that makes it impossible to hold your breath for 15 seconds?
Plus you’re all car guys, how many times have stuck your face near exhaust. Second-hand smoke is no more dangerous to you than, most of the air you breathe.
the smoke still gets out when they open the door to get out and 90% of the time they wont even close the door cause they want to be included in whats going on in the other room

its a nasty, disgusting, unhealthy habit (as we all know) so what the hell would make you want to do something that would make your teeth yellow and fuck with your lungs. buy a stress ball if that’s why you smoke. go running, do something HEALTHY.

Personally i hate smoking, I hate breathing it etc. I think it was the best thing that NYS did to outlaw smoking in restaurants and bars. It may have hurt business a little but eventually everyone got used to it. If someone wants to smoke in public they should do so but be mindful of others. To me smoking is on par with eating someone elses shit. Fucking gross.

and another thing that sucks about people smoking that someone mentioned, is how there are tons of ciggarette butts all over the place at the entrances of buildings and whatnot. theres an a butt disposal thing at almost every door, all you have to do is toss it in there or put it out and toss it in the garbage.
im for it. if its a public place that people choose to go to then they can just as easily choose to leave if they dont like being around smokers. But if its in a public spot where you have to be there or have paid to be their an example being a concert or sporting event then i am against it.

as long as smoking is still legal, banning smoking outdoors is unlawful. i can make the comparison to many airborne pollutants that infect our atmosphere everyday. funny they dont seem to be an issue to nonsmokers because of the convenience they receive from them (automobiles, power plants, generators, ect). you can gang up on smokers because they are a minority, but in the end your no different than any other bigot in my eyes.
