Orr89rocz's 1989 Camaro Iroc-z 5.7L

lol i got the impression that if the rear goes, its gonna go big time and it be hard to get it on a trailer

Well, you didn’t break it at the track so I’m assuming you made it home without breaking anything. Nice runs i must say.

well…how did it run?

lol 10.63. not bad but needs more gear

Still one of the sexiest cars on the forum

Got it on the truck scales today. No interior still and with my C6 vette wheels and just below half tank of gas

3300 lbs. Not sure how they round off, i hope its plus or minus 20 and not like nearest 100lbs

last time bone stock it weighed 3400 so i’m happy with this roll bar weight not being a total pig.

With interior back in i expect 40-50 more lbs but i have to weigh the stuff yet

Justin,

What are you weighing your parts with?

I’m in the postal business & I could prolly hook you up with a decent 100 or 150lb scale. I have a 150# here at my house that’s calibrated to the nearest .05 oz.

Tod

just your typical bathroom scale  digitial to the nearest tenth. I’m not really concerned with getting super accurate with the parts weights, i’m just curious to my weight and how i can cut some off where ever i can.

i weigh myself, then pick up the parts and weigh me again with the parts and subtract  ball park estimate. I’m gonna go weigh my carpet now and some panels

I’ll be picking up a fiberglass hood of some sort so that should reallly cut off the weight. The 12 bolt however is gonna add a bunch more i fear

my interior so far… converted all black with red seats. I was trying to do all black plastics/console with red seats/red carpet to match the seats but i couldnt find anything close so i went with all black instead.
Still gotta do door panels… would like to do all black there and tie in alittle red to give another accent for the seats but we’ll see what i can do

looks good MPH…its a real racecaR now

looks sharp

Like i promised, 6 speed over winter. But i’m working on a few other things too

 gonna be an all around fun car.

nice. 'bout time.

i hope i can drive stick well haha never did it before except for a farm tractor but i’m confident i can do it. Just gonna take abit to get used to where the clutch grabs and stuff, and its gonna be a on/off clutch for abit til it breaks in alittle.

nothing else is better learning to drive a stick from your very own car.
atleast admitted can’t drive stick well. get my respect for saying it.

Should be fun
