Dont know of any wider hoods…need this one widened by someone who is nasty with fiberglass. I want them covered but oh well.

There is a slightly wider hood but its only 3" tall and still probly wont clear

did you cruise by morris knowles today at like 1230ish? sure looked like the right car. if it was you, i was surprised how quiet that thing sounded.

Yep went home at lunch time to get it and went back to work… right around 1230. Its pretty quiet while cruising but does get loud on throttle

Pic of the recent drag race trim… car went 10.37 at 134.3 with no brake boost launch, just a weak 1.66 60 foot. Short shifted too. Next two passes were 10.52 and 10.43 all over 135mph. Just 10psi and rough tune.

I been working on the part throttle and idle tuning. Got it pretty close to perfect for me. Drives like a dream. Working on quick acceleration of first gear, and think i got the acceleration enrichment tuning in good place. Left stock syty tables, but reworked my VE table as there was a rich spot that bogged the motor down off the line on quick throttle hit. Leaned that out and tonight it felt great.

Also have a boost controllor now. Running abit over 12 psi now and its ridiculous. 10psi has a chance to hook up on street in third gear and 45-50mph, 12 psi just goes 50-100mph in split second with tire spin… Not very streetable. Gonna give it another half turn and hope to see 13 psi and call it a day til next track meet this weekend. Hope the rear end holds :slight_smile: Hoping for 9’s at near 138-140 on pump gas.

looking sick there bud, and good luck with youre goals. depending on how efficent you setup is youll gain anywhere from 20 to 30rwhp per psi. I gained 29rwhp per psi. with that being said you should be around 730 rwhp around 13/14 psi which should easily get youre car into the 9s with a solid 14X mph

think its that high? I was figuring high 600’s with 80-82% loss through the th400 and ptc converter. Still close to 800 hp on 12 psi, abit over that on 13

i did 685 at 14 psi on a little motor. you have more cubes, better heads and twice the volume of air going into the motor. so yea i think youre around that figure around 14psi

i’m pretty sure its 150mph is when u need one…but i could be wrong
