yeah believe its still 150 for chute. I aint touching that anytime soon
And yeah if i’m in the lower 700whp range thats pimping… I did estimate 730-740 on 15psi…about 900 crank hp. Hope it runs smooth this weekend. Damn rear end scares me alittle

i thought it was 145 you had to atleast have it and 150+ is when you were required to pull it? im probably wrong
Only one way to find out
I got the 2009 NRHA rule book here, i’ll have to check
this is by far my favorite member project Awesome work!
I can’t even believe you still have the original rear end in that monster!!!
MUST be a 9 bolt?
funny story… i broke the 9 bolt with bolt on 240 ish whp TPI 350 motor…on a 1.79 60 foot i think…
swapped to a 2000 trans am 10 bolt, bone stock 30K miles and now over 700hp and its still running. Has survived 1.41 and 1.45 60 foots on a nitrous 383 motor last year and MANY 1.55-1.60 60’s on motor.
I think this weekend may break it finally, as its making abit of noise somewhere back there on slow tight turns, so i think the posi may be cracked or something. Cant tell. May pop the cover off to check before the track. Only makes a light pop noise every now and then. No idea whats up with it, or if its even the rear thats making the noise

THANKS!
Going to the track this saturday hopefully to break 9’s or break trying Dont think I’ll use any race gas either. I want to try on pump gas to see what i can do. Think it will take 14-15psi and that will be more than enough.
Torsen Diff then if it’s a 2000…that explains a lot, but still amazing it has held up to all that abuse!!
10bolts have been known to live up to autos since they dont shock them as much as manuals do
sweet pics buddy
Yeah!
Everytime I see the pics with the hood cut open, I can’t help but say “badass” out loud! I like them exposed, but then again I’ve never seen it in person… either way, congrats on the run and looking good!
Justin… have you taken Cory for a ride in this monster yet? I can’t wait to see it. You gonna be around over the thanksgiving holiday?
haha no i havent taken Kory for a ride, i havent talked to him much lately. Not sure he even knows whats all done to it now haha. I should be around over the holidays but not sure yet.
Redoing the exhaust and changing turbo housings out for larger one. Also redoing oil feed lines and was thinking of re-sealing the manifold since i thought i had a oil leak
I will change the turbos out to a larger 64-70mm unit and shoot for 800+whp but thats way in the future, i’m going to enjoy this current setup and see how fast it can go. It actually may get me to 800whp on good tune and such.
Exhaust clearance was an issue for my car so I decided to scrap the 4" system and go with a true dual 3" setup that i can tuck up better. Started with the y pipe i made before and hacked off the Y collector. Put in a pair of flex pipes and then into X pipe where stock Cat used to be
Comparison to my old 4" system which hangs abit lower in this pic than what it did this year, but it never really hit on the road. As you can see tho i will have TONS more room this year
looks good.
nice!! ive been considering doing dual 3" instead of single 4 into dual 2.5
sick! looks good
should beable to get this thing on the JSdyno easier… lol

Do the 3", its worth it. Plenty of room to run it, atleast on my car. Looks like room under the 4th gens to do the same.
If you do single, i’d do 4 into dual 3 if you want dual outlets. 2.5 will choke it too much
well i have the Centermount exhaust and tips are 2.5" inlet. dual 2.5 is still more diameter then single 4". i plan to run a cutout for track
