Ok well most of you know my old car, the charcoal pearl drift slut that I have been pounding the crap out of for the last 6 years.
Well after 12 engines or so and well over 400,000k she has had enough, it is time to let her rest.
This hurts me as I know it hurts a few of you guys as well, there alot of memories attached to this car for alot of people. She is the one who started this all off for me and she taught me more then I ever thought I could learn from a car.
I am still working on project Bastard Child but she will be a while before she is done so i needed something to drive as a daily and still be capable of track events so, I bought a 1991 hatch super hicas non abs for $800
the car was in not bad shape except for the normal spots on the frame rail and the engine was spuing oil like crazy.
Some of you may have seen this car at the Niagara meet. It as the multi colour white hatch parked next to my grey car.
Any way here are photo’s of the old girl on here last day and the shape she was in aswell as the repair and build up of the new car which took place over the last long weekend.
Well thats all the pics I got for now. The car was finished and in stock body trim ran a 13.6 @ 105mph there is till alot to be done to it …new subframe with Bings.ca multi link and bushings and it still needs new suspension so there may be more pics to come.
holy shit, wow, ok new car is hot, but aside from that the frame and rust and all that… WOW… damnnnn…
I am so lucky alhamdulilah, that i got the car i got… as it looked ass on the outside (although i had it fixed and repainted) and had so much work to do to it mechanically (suspension and brakes, etc…)… but my car’s frame and underbody were awesome…
Anywho good luck on the new project it’s sweet Looking forward to updates. No wonder your MSN said out with the old and in with the new…
This car was what made me want a 240 to be completely honest with you. I loved how it looked and sounded.
I remember my first ride in it, all the way to mississauga to watch him do a wiring job. We got to mississauga and it had just rained out. I didnt really know what drifting was at the time and i didnt know Chris was into it.
So we are at a red light and he steps on it and all i hear is the turbo goin off and were sideways. This mother pushing her kid in a stroller practically jumps infront of her kid and i yelled “Dont worry hes a professional”.
Im sure most of you arent going to read this but i owe it to Chris to post up what the car has meant to me, and like his, how it changed mine drastically.
R.I.P
O ya, and i did it with his sister in the back seat… BONG!!
