well i took my car out today around the block since the weather was nice, but as i was driving i noticed that the engine was overheating big time!!! so i took the car back, this happened before i stored it to but only when i turned the heat up, knowing that, i turned off the heat this time and now its doing the same thing. Anyone know what the problem is? clogged radiator?
^^^ If it overheats when you turn the heat on then it probably means that you may have air in your cooling system or the coolant is too low.
It could be many other things. Please be more descriptive.
What’s the level of fluid in the radiator/overflow tank?
Leaking from underneath? Check the oil for coolant? Do you hear bubbling while it’s cooling down from the overheat? If so where? Power loss? White Smoke out the tailpipe?
alright so after careful inspection i found that the hose connecting to the radiator cap is cracked (not sure if thats where the problem lies) but i see fluid all around that area so i’m assuming thats where the problem lies. Thanks for the help.
