Paging Boxersix: '04 sti turbo issue

mine are 5x100 :stuck_out_tongue:

so is it a headgasket issue or a fubar’d piston… sounds like its more than the turbo homie… good luck either way.

does your green have a billet wheel travis?

So did this legendary STi that burned down; did it happen during the '08 Adirondack Nationals outside Glens Falls on I-87?

I drove past one that was on fire beside the road at night during that time on 87.

ughhh yeeeppppp

Should’ve stopped and took pictures, you would’ve made a car on fire look HOT!

:rofl

go to the link above.

my turbo has the 3" inlet and 8cm hotside, ported inlet and outlet, standard flapper design… was originally internally gated but has now been modified by mr hennessy to run external gate only.

sadly, yes… twas my car.:frowning:

Wow, small world.

I remember it well.
I was in my friends lifted F-350, we were on our way to Saratoga that night, I think it was a Friday or Saturday night. We came around the bend in the road and saw liquid fire dripping from under the car and the police cruiser stopped there as well. I think we rolled by at about 50MPH and I remember saying; “Holy shit, that was an STi!!!” after I saw the wing.

We all thought maybe an oil line to the turbo let go or broke because of the dripping/fire under the car. I noticed a few days later the semi-melted pavement where the car was. That sucks man.

the dripping fire was probably the melting power steering line or rubber/plastic of some sort. doesnt matter anymore. car is scrap.

That STI had a horrible life. It was like brought into the world by some retard who didn’t mod it right. Then sold to some dealer where Travis got his paws on it and modded it to a 181.5645WHP dyno. Then over the next few years it was the equiv of being held hostage in a bunker while a gang of fags run a train on your ass. Then after being skull fucked by everyone of them for a few times, you are lite on fire and burned to death.

Oh, forgot. After you are burned to death, you are brought to a lot and dumped and then slowly dismembered and sold on Craigslist.

:rofl:rofl:rofl

Yea that car definitely reminds me a lot of my old STi!
I sold mine to a guy in Virginia a few years ago and have been curious where it is and how it’s doing these days… would you mind posting your vin # or at least PM’ing to me?

Here’s one of my old car… a few things that stand out about that car and make me think it’s not my old one, is that car doesn’t have cleared headlights or sidemarkers or rear windows tinted. All of which would be odd of the new owner to do away with.

*Nevermind… I just read the first post more carefully and saw that you mentioned it was a 2004. Mine was a 2005.
