parents control you car!

glad my parents dont buy my cars

it’s a great idea. I’m just glad that it wasn’t around when I started driving

ford keeps doing this stuff. they keep advertising random technology in their cars instead of making a higher quality product. overall, yes the idea makes sense, but theyre making it seem like its the only thing that matters in a vehicle. i dont care that i can have that sync bullshit in my car, i dont care that “i can call people from my car using the blue tooth”, thats just unnecessary. pretty much everyone has a phone now. blue tooth headsets are now uber cheap(i got two for 20 bucks and they work great) that or the phones have speakerphone mode. i dont give a shit that your milan has a 40 gig harddrive, or that it has a huge sunroof its still gonna rust and rot in the wind

:nuts

it’s the little gadgets that differentiate cars from their competition. It makes complete sense what they are doing. A advertisement describing how the new block on the focus is superior to the competition wont get as much attention as some new cool gadget.

My little sister needs that in her car. I can just tell she is going to be NUTS when she drives.

Your an idiot. The cars come with a good warranty and are priced well below what similar cars sell for. Its not an unreliable car it just wont hold its value like a civic. I think its a good idea and maybe your dumb ass should be limited to 45 mph

what does speed have to do with the quality of a product? who cares if its a fast or slow car. if its a good vehicle its worth buying. using your example civic. it holds value BECAUSE its a good car. toyotas hold value, because theyre good cars. ford’s resale values plummet soon as u take it off the lot. and theres no need for name calling, thank you very much.

You post idiotic meaningless things. Have you owned a new focus driven one or even known any one who has? Your opinion means dog shit cause you have no experience with the car

I really don’t think this will help anything, esp because it’s a new car…no parent is going to go buy their kid a brand new Ford because of a safety feature.

well, what do u drive?

thats pretty much what im saying, but apparently that makes me an idiot ::slight_smile:

think like a parent… it helps a TON. When parents buy their kids cars the number one thing they usually care about is safety.

:+1

safety and reliability are key!

Ok, take bfol’s parents for example (nothing against them or him)…First car : '04 RSX-S then Second car: '08 BMW 335xi…I don’t think they were looking for safety, maybe reliability, but i doubt it.

I could go on and on with examples of kids from my high school and what they get for first cars…Most parents will most likely look at the feature and be like “wow that’s a good/cool idea” then forget about it.

you’ve got a very good point there. but if u think about it, your speed isnt always the cause of the crash. it can be partly to blame, but theres SO SO many other things that happen as well. u can be not moving at all and a person can hit u in the side and if theres no side airbag, u can hit ur head on the glass or the pillar there. thats where engineering and car construction comes into play.

if youve noticed that car limits the stereo volume, and wont turn the stereo on without safety belts being used. im sure that it limits much more, and a majority of cars on the road now have side impact airbags. its becoming standard fare on most cars.

using spoiled brats as your examples doesn’t help your case any

NO SHIT! no one is saying that this will prevent ALL accidents from happening. It will prevent your little a-hole kid going too fast which is a great thing. I have no idea why you even bring up anything else

side impact airbags are are very good feature. i really hope that in the future years every car will have them, even the crappiest little thing with 4 wheels should have them in. that stereo and seatbelt thing? idk, man, not so sure. i’d make it so u cant start the car if the seat belt isnt on. it just kinda makes more sense to me. u can totally be with no stereo and drive but no seat belt is a huge deal. limiting the stereo volume can be good, because sometimes people dont pay attention and miss an ambulance or something thats right on their ass. when i was pickin out my car, i wasnt looking at foofy shit like oh, does it have nav, or bluetooth or some trivial little thing like that. i wanted a solid, well built dependable and safe vehicle

and you bought an audi lmao
