Whats a valet?
Deny til you die.
Guy in the video is a full bag of dicks.
I usually park myself if there is an option. I agree with walter though, one or two clutch slips isn’t gonna destroy your car.
One time, though, I valeted my 300zx and the asshole had the audacity to tell me that my car was fast.
So? Perhaps he was just a car guy. Perhaps he thought complimenting your ride would entice you to give him a better tip. It doesn’t mean he took it out to the strip to see what it would do.
Yikes. That really makes you think.
I’m glad I can put my car into NA mode for situations like this.
To Walter’s point, everyone takes compliments about their car differently. It’s actually better from a valets standpoint to simply not discuss a customers car with them. It’s like saying “your wife looks really good today” and the guy is left deciding if he should say thanks or give you the stink eye, lol.
Next time I hand the keys to a valet on the GTO I’m going to ask him to get on it when he leaves the lot. I’ve never heard my exhaust at WOT from outside the car. It’s just a car, I drive it like I stole it every chance I get. I’d be far more pissed about them accidentally door dinging it than giving it the loud pedal.
More or less, given the space of a parking lot. If they joy-ride it, that’s another. Josh’s guys are running mad to grab the next car, or go get one, they’ve got better shit to do than drive around…
I’ll second that comment. I messed my knee up the one day on a hill, couldn’t run for weeks and still cant pivot right
Since this particular lot required them to turn out onto a road that is a 45-55 mph speed limit, i have no reason to believe that he did not hammer it. Also, it was more like, “Man, that car is fast!!” than just a general compliment. You could just tell the dude definitely had a quick pull in it. It’s not the end of the world to me honestly, but he didn’t have to say it right to me lol.

Agreed, totally. I let other people beat on my cars. I have no problem handing my keys over to most people and letting them have a go at it. I prefer to be in the car with them, but oh well.
Give your keys to MPD47…
This. Hopefully it’s someone I know They know how to treat my cars.
Any day of the week <3
I use to valet for Josh and I treated every car like it wasn’t mine.
Not mine - Don’t want to break it.
