Past experiences with low pro's

so this is the prob, i got rims on low pro toyo’s and the tires are bald n need to get them off so i can get them on my all seasons.

the thing is, when i took them to a shop to take them off, it actually couldnt be done, the tires ended up almost breaking one shops machine because they are so hard.

so i took it to another shop that i know well and they told me that it would be around 30 dollars to take them off because he knows how hard the tires are…

so do any of you know places that i can get these tires off that are cheaper than 30 $$ a tire???

thanks for the help. much appreciated

omar.

temprature is key for the rubber plyability. Keep them inddors on the day of removal.

I have had good luck here in kitchener w/Jims Tire. I have even had tires stretched there 225 on 9".

I have also had good luck with MTC Mississuaga tire (cambridge location), I would suspect from the name they have more than 1 location. They had no problem getting a 245/45/17 onto a 9"

WTF? Any tire shop with a decent mounting machine should be able to get them off. I call B.S. on anybody who tells you otherwise. Even places like Active Green and Ross should be able to do it for you.

well 2 shops tried for me, the tire was about to come off, but it kept slipping on the machine…cuz it couldnt stretch i guess

S13GG---- ill do what you told me, ill keep em indoors until the day i go to try to take em off again.
