When all else fails I ask my brothers on shift for advice. I had recently purchased some body parts and mis equipment for my car I needed. I had great communication with my seller in the month of may when I pay pal him the money. Needless to say once he got my undiclosed amount he took the money and spent it. I contacted him via phone email and text message. He gave me several response back in text messages saying he sent it out, he was going send it out, etc. He never will pick up his phone but have had times were I call and his is on the other line. I have been paitently waiting and waiting and waiting and todya I recieved the following email from pay pal:
Dear Jeremiah the bullfrog
We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.
We were able to recover $0.63 USD and this amount has been credited to you.
Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.
If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.
If the seller’s account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller’s account, which may include limitation of the seller’s account
privileges.
I don’t really want 17 post saying wow man you got screwed, more looking for alternatives and other actions I could pursue. Small claims court won’t work because I am not goind drive to VA to take him to it. I know the were abouts of this kid and have some guys on a nissan board that would work with me to find an exact address. I also have caught him trying to buy other parts online and contacted the buyers to try to either get him to add the funds to his pay pal or get me a physical shipping address to his house. What would you do or how should I handle this so I recover my loot?
You shouldve gone to your credit card company and filed something about it. Paypal’s customer service is completely worthless.
I got fucked out of $150 for a truck tailgate and Paypal couldnt do anything about it.
After that I was told to deal with the credit card company, going over Paypal’s head.
i would say go to your cc first… police have better things to do then track someone down from a paypal account…that i’m sure isnt the right address if screwing people is what he does…
Yeah if it was taken from a credit card company you MIGHT have a chance at recovering the cash…if not, well, post up his info, I know people who can fuck this guy’s life up. Seriously. :rofl
Coming off of the idea of contacting the my bank on this matter can I claim this as a fraudulant transaction because of the breach of contract? Realistically I paid for a good or service I didn’t recieve and pay pal is in agreeance on this subject. It’s not like I sent out the cash dec 2006 it was just last month?
If he never shipped ANYTHING, then you can get all of your money back through paypal. However, they have to go through this whole stupid thing if he doesn’t have adequate funds in his account. Their customer service sucks, but your best bet may be calling them and telling them your situation.
me 2. if i dont know u, or your not verified. F**k u. my moneys staying with me.
but try to contact. Bill Sherman? i think thats his name, i got screwed outta 165 on a fourm last august He relayed the info to bank of america,(his sceondary money option) and pulled the money that day. only problem was i still had to wait 5 days for it.
if you paid with a credit card, they will do a charge back for you. im in the process of doing this for the 2nd time. the credit card company will send you a form to fill out and you answer all the questions. they will obviously take your side and give you your money back. paypal can not charge your account, they will make the sellers account go into the negative, and collect on him.
You dont need to go to HIS state to sue in small claims, you can sue him under the long arm statute in your state. He conducted business with this state. If its worth it to you bring him to court, sue for damages to your wallet, some price becuase you had no transportation for that period, and sue for lawyers fees.
