I have dodged the storm well with my personal accounts down like 4% on the year with what i consider great positions on a bunch of stock. But damn my IRA and mutual accounts have been hit hard too. I checked last week but probably wont bother to look again for a few months at least. It was the first time i checked in awhile and I actually loled in my chair and went to the fridge for a beer.
What did you put it into, MS and GS like you were talking about?
my IRA, rolled from a previous 401k, is up .05% for the year. I have been very very good about moving some of my stocks around at the right time.

Nope. This week all I have picked up was some FRE, WM, VMW, and yes… more SIRI. But boy am I getting burned on some of them right now. I also started going long in the last 30 days on some tech and things I expect to do well in DEC-JAN just got greedy looking for early bottoms. But good plays bad plays I am still new enough to be more then happy with position for the future to come. I am also betting big on the election…

Anyone buying anything today? I almost bought RDN yesterday at $3.50 and wussed out. i still have some sidelined money but unsure if now is the time to bring it in.
officially my biggest gaining day ever if current prices hold… +$3530 at the moment. im just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride on financials for now.

Looks like people are starting to take some earnings with them for the weekend. Im staying in on it personally. I wanted to put in more money today but decided to hold off. Blows that I went as big as I have in tech but i am trying to pick them up hoping a better then expected shopping season makes me money. Ok im going to play some football and drink more beer.

yeah i just went from up 4030 to up 3010…that was a quick grand in the last hour or so. Some stuff thats losing some of its gains is just above my value range, if it keeps falling I may buy more.
LOL what I still think its a strong buy. Im going to buy another few k next week I think. Last time I owned FRE I made $3,700 in 40min on the golf course haha.
I would not advise buying today that was just sellers taking weekend gains and we already missed it bro. ok im out this time.
