so im looking to paint my car like and olive drab green, but on a budget.

kinda looking for something like this, but obviously it wont be as bling, and most likely a flat finish.

You tryin’ to blend your car in with the local shrubbery or something?
Maybe add some black, brown and tan patches? :bloated:

GI JOE 240!!!

Screw the comments. Thats hoTT. I want to paint my car a dark green/grey or something close too.

yeah, i did this last spring. Its a noble idea, but hard to carry out. By thinning the paint down in order to spray it, it actually lightens the color and makes it look dumb. Heres a quick pic of my trial stage.

Just get a darker color than you want, and then thin it accordingly.

how come the tutorial vid isnt working? is it me? i am curious on the method used in the vid, maybe pick up some tips.

for some reason putfile is being gay…once the vid uploads properly ill fix the link

hm, that looks kinda decent on the car…

I’m liking the red more than the split pea green. Especially if you are going for a flat finish (ugh). If you are going to put some gloss and clear coat on there, then maybe it might work, but it would not be easy to pull off.

Articzap (or someone with skillz), take the shine off the chop so we can see it the way he wants it. Flat.

yea i like it with a little clear i guess, buy its all about how much $$ itd be, im not looking to put much money into it, just something different and not the 3 different shades of black my car is now

I will paint it…i have the Krylon touch on 240s

as matte as I could get it…with some cheeseyness…
…if you squint your eyes it looks better…

ooh or how bout darker green?

PS… i like the pea green color

Darker green is definitely better. And Honestly, if it’s going to look GOOD, you can’t skimp on the $$$$ (unless you havea super hook-up)

honestly if you arent going to pay the money for it to look as bling and shiney as the first pic then its going to look terrible.

or as the spaniards would say “el terrible” - Cleaveland

hmm I really don’t get it

its up n workin now!!! give it a few seconds to load, its 21 megs. be sure to view in full screen

that dark green is siick

agreed.
