Trap shooting with a pistol isn’t much fun. Trap with a 20 is fun.
lol who needs a permit to buy a handgun…I was just in the gun store in Dallas the other day all you have to be is 21.
The glocks are garbage and not ever intended for anything other than law enforcement as they do not have a safety. Matt if you are interested we are gonna go shooting this weekend sometime. You can try a few real guns.
First off why do you want a 9mm? You looking for shooting accuracy or just fun to shoot. The only benefit I can see in a 9mm is the price of ammo. It is very cheap.
The Glock 17 is considered a full size pistol and the 19 is a mid size (sub compact). Also you I would need to know what kind of budget you have to work with. There are many good 9mm pistols I will list them:
Glock 17 & 19
H&K USP comes in both full size and sub compact
Walter p99
Springfield Armory XD series
Sig Pro SP2009
Sig p229
Sig p226 (full size)
I have more than a few firearms and can help you out if you want with info or maybe go to the range to blast some targets. Just let me know. We usually go on badazz shooting events every now and again
Automatics are not finicky, and not overly complicated. Most people can be shown once how to take apart a Glock and they have no problem repeating the task
Also a good revolver is NOT in any way cheaper than a good automatic. When you say good revolver I hear Smith & wesson because honestly that is the only revolver worth anything, and trust me they ARE NOT cheap. Although not top of the line I would consider Glocks good handguns and they are cheaper than just about any smith revolver. Plus any cheap Smith revolver is only gonna have a 2-1.75" barrel which sucks for target shooting and anything over 15 ft.
Are you being serious here??? You should re-examine that statement. Not having a safety does not make a bad firearm in fact it saves valuable time. In a combat situation would you want to worry about fine motor skills to turn off a safety. Glocks are very accurate right out of the box, and their fail to fire/misfeed rate is almost none existent. That is why they are the choice of the FBI, DEA, Customs (now CBP) and a number of other gov’t agencies. If you are properly trained in handling of a Glock “safe action” pistol you should never need a safety
holy crap jnj…who knew u…might bust a cap in ones ass
J&J = arsenal , plus I roll my own ammo, how much crazier could I get. Don’t worry I am ready just like the people in New Orleans were
When your shotgun gets boring…
Thanks for the info fellas… I like the glock because it’s made really well. My cop friend recommended it. According to Glock’s website, they have 3 safety features built into their pistols.
The desert eagle was more of a gag than anything else. It looks really cool but definitly too big.
I don’t want to spend anything more than $800 or so.
BTW, I want to get an automatic. I’ve shot .22’s and a .38 revolver so I think the 9mm is perfect.
I like the looks of that better than the Glock. Nice recommendation, J…
These are just some of the fun guns… I dont have time to post up the accurate or gang banger guns. Have everything from gold plated revolvers, to double barrel shotguns to black powder pistols. BTW the second one is not an Uzi… its a Cobray M11 with Flash Suppressor and Extension, I also have it equipped with a 50 shot clip.
omg i want these

I was going to say that looked like an ingram. very nice, didn’t know those were yours.
the glock is an extremely well made pistol. accuracy notwithstanding, they are tough sunzabitches and the testing they had to endure to become standard sidearms for the police was nuts. submerged in salt water, dropped from X feet repeatedly, run over, frozen, etc. - then made to put a thousand rounds at range.
I’ve fired a G25, and I’ve yet to see one fail to feed or misfire. the only 9mm in US service I would consider equal to the glock so far as a tough, proven pistol is the 92F, but they’re pricey as well.
didn’t know there were this many shooters on this board  I don’t have anything exotic, just my two 12-gauges, a remington .222 bolt, and a two .22’s, one’s bolt and the other semi-auto.
and my modded tippmann 98
Walther makes a nice piece. The P99 is hot, but if you like to shoot often the cost of descent quality ammo can add up quickly. If you want to shoot all the time for cheap as hell – pick up a Walther P22. My sister has one, and her husband has a Glock model 17. You can always pick up a bigger caliber weapon later, but you can hone your skills with a .22. Btw if you want to save some $$ on 9mm ammo, you can buy 1k reloaded rounds for dirt cheap, just do a google search.
Shooting a 9 is like driving a civic, sure it’s a good gun, but everyone and their mom has one. J/K I’ve shot both a ruger 45 and a 38 snub nose. The 45 was kinda heavy, but it would do some real damage, especially the hollow points. If your planning on doing alot of shooting, it’s a good investment to get yourself some reloading equipment. My dad and I would reload all our own ammo back in New Hampshire and when you go shooting 4-5 different guns a day it can really save some cash, you can even make your own custom rounds for target and hunting. I know I miss my Marlin 30-30 rifle, but the .22 was the most fun to tink around with.
we gotta go shooting again. Me and chuck still got all that ammo
i wanna go shootin with u lol u got more guns than I.
How much do the P22 and the P99 go for?
if i remember correctly the p22 is somewhere around $300-350, the p99 is more like $550-600. :tspry:
btw prices will vary a bit from place to place…
If you want to shoot a glock, you could probably come to the range with me and my father one of these days… he carries a real nice glock on him daily.
HOT!! that’s great, less than I thought it was.
