Plastic Bumper Repair

The bumper cover on my truck has a hole, and a rip. The cover is made of plastic.

I wont use filler cause it’ll shrink and crack, and before i take it to a bodyshop, i wanna know if i can buy somethin off the shelf that i can do myself.

People have told me that there is a plastic welder/fuser that is used. Others have told me that there is a special plastic filler that wont shrink.

A new cover is outta the question, cause it would cost me $800+

Does anyone know of anything i can buy for this???

Talk to Jeff, he used this plastic filler on my bumper. I am pretty sure he got it at the body shop store in mcdonald. I remember it being somewhat pricey too.

once it is fixed, you prob will still see a imperfection on the bumper unless you get it painted.

oh, its definitely getting repainted, my uncle paints at Wolberts. It would look like shit if it wasnt painted.

And no, its not textured. The finish is smooth, but the paint is a matte primer colored gloss.

that pic was the day i bought it, with alot of bugs splatted on it.

i just want it done right, money isnt a problem.

fusor heat set plastic repair would work great its liek 40 bucs a tube though
