i keep getting pop up issues. seems like no matter what my settings are everytime i log in i keep getting the new pm pop up message for a pm ive already read. its getting realy annoying, im not sure if its something ive myself when i updated to window explorer 8 or what not.
ive tried to dissable the pop ups in my user cp with no luck. it just resets to default.
edit: only happens when i hit New Posts that i get the PM pop up.
Your settings are correct. I would almost have to say that it is a IE issue as this version of vbulletin has not been designed for IE 8 afaik.
Have you tried clearing cookies?
I run firefox and have no timeout issues or PM issues like I’ve seen complaints of. Just my 2 cents but firefox FTW.
this happens to me as well sometimes, i noticed that the threads will not update either after a new post
i will post something in a thread, and then someone else will, but on the main “forum page” i guess, it will still show the post that happened before mine as the newest post
i messed up some of my internet options settings. thanks guys, all is well now it appears.
That is a caching “issue” it is really not an issue, but the “new posts” only updates so frequently in this version. I can probably change it to real time, but that gets server intensive as 90 people click new post, thread, new post etc…
I don’t get the pop up issue but sometimes when I get an LPP message I get about 100 copies of it, with it re-appearing every time i view a new page
