Police traps today

i had a police officer walk out into the right lane on 90 going into MA, he was flagging me down to pull over. apparently getting a speeding driver is more important than his own life?

also has anyone else seen the stupid cheektowaga cops on the 33 westbound? one was standing next to his car, radar gun in hand while the other officers flail their arms about. they were just past the harlem rd exit. :roflpicard:

you know how much $ nys and local municipalites make on tickets! No names but one north tonawanda police officer racked in 400 grand in 1 year alone for the town in tickets! There is no quota, but that dont mean the agencies dont want there officers to rack in some $. Its all about the $.

I was just heading east on 290, right where it begins off the 190 there was a speed trap. 3 people pulled over in a row

state troopers must right 3 tickets a day.

that is FROM a state trooper

In some other state, a cop did this and the girl hit him, and he died.
Fucking moron cop.

she got a $2xx fine and no points.

The guys i know give more then 3 a day. On xmas last year my friend gave 12 tickets before his lunch break lol.

Got a tinted window ticket yesterday merging onto 290 delaware.

by who, trooper or TPD?

Wrong.

are you a trooper?

No but I have family that is.

uhh yeah… all down the 290/190 into the falls

There is no quota for troopers but they have monthly and yearly budgets for their department like any other business. In that budget they factor in the revenue from tickets. They know if they are under or over and if they have met their marks.

No trooper is told to write certain tickets per day.

Police Officers do not pull people over for the income generated by tickets.

It is the most dangerous thing any police officer can do, and they are not out there to do it for the monetary aspect.

You really think that there is some lieutenant, captain, chief or whomever telling their officers “ok i need you all to ticket about 5 people each today, our budget came in and were a little short”. No.

Now there are departments out there that monitor the number of tickets written because it shows that the officers are doing their jobs. I know guys that write 0 tickets a month, and those that write 50. There are different reasons that this is so, and none of them have to do with money generated in any way.

The police will get there budget no matter what. Even with the NYS and Erie County cutbacks in budgets did not effect police hirings. There will always be a need for police presence, the public knows this, and generally wants it and won’t gripe too loudly if their police department is asking for money.

Someone on S&R said there is a checkpoint at the Transit exit of the 90. Don’t know if it’s still there.

I been seeing mad PO everywhere yo. Don’t know what the deal is but the last 2 months… every where I go. Every high way flow, every town I go I see the damn POOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
