I have the PDM kit.
I installed the following:
Front: T/C rods, lower control arm
Rear: Upper and lower control arm, traction rod, and toe arm
There were two bushings left for rear that I could have put on the spindle
but I opted not to.
Just a word of warning; this isn’t an easy project (doing bushings
upgrade).
I’d probablly rate this a 7/10 or 8/10 on a scale of difficulty.
Hardest part is getting the arms off (especially if they are all rusted) and
then finding a shop to do the pressing for you.
For the rear lower control arm, you will need to take the spindle off the shaft.
Impact gun is a must if you want to save time. I bought a gun from eBay
for $65cad and it saved me a TONNE of time when I did my rear 5-lug
(and bushings).
but if i am planning to buy the tc rod, toe rod, etc from cusco, tein, or other company, do i still need another bushing?
The arms on the multi link setup are:
Front:
Rear:
It’s up to you as to which arms you wish to replace with pillow ball joints
and which you want to replace bushings on.
I went with the bushings route; quite tedious, labourous but cheap.
Go to www.splparts.com to see what kind of arms you can buy.
no rear camber arm?
i thought rear camber arm is a must for lowered car, or is it?
The rear camber is adjusted using the upper control arm using eccentric
camber bolts.
Toe in and out is controlled by the traction rod (the toe rod arm is kinda
misleading if you ask me)
so no new bushing for me if i am getting the aftermarket “rods” right?
the only bushing i need maybe is the subframe…
I’ve typed enough and I think my posts explain all that needs to be done.
And there are no subframe ‘bushings’. They’re ‘spacers’ more like.
