hi i have a 91 240 with a ka24de . the car runs great when its cold example in the mornin or if its stopped a couple hours. but as it gets hot the acceleration becomes really poor i think it may be the cat. but im not sure. has new wires plugs cap and rotor msd ingnition coil new clutch 5 spd swap still auto comp though and just a cone filter exhaust and thats about it ive tried the grounds didnt work i cleaned the maf nothing. i know people have had similar problems but no one really posts if its fixed or not

Heat soaked radiator maybe? Get that shit flushed and see what happens. Maybe change the oil to a high quality synthetic too. All cars lose a little jump when they get hot because of the thinner air under the hood and a bunch of other scientific reasons to do with the power-robbing tendancies of hot engines :lol:
yeah^, but more often than not, the rad/AC are full of leaves/debris and general crap… clean this too if your going to flush it… and if there is crap in the system it wil be in your heater core too, you can flush that seperatley or just be patient and flush it all together…
well i flushed it out b4 like couple mothns ago and ran water through cleanin up everything inside and no improvement at all its funny how sometimes its good and others its bad like tonite wasnt soo good and last nite was better but not perfect
think it could b the maf or the temp sensor i hear takes some power away but who knows ne clew how much the temp sensor goes for
yeah its flled properly and the problem was there b4 the flush so ima try the cat and see from there cuz i get the funny egg smell too n e more suggestons wut to try imma try the full synthetic oil too cuz now ive been usin semi thnx alot for replies

i bought an exhaust with the cat welded on, it need to be changed and instead of cutting and welding a new one i just punched it out, its sounds real nice and have had no problems with it,
ok so i changed my temp sensor and cat and i tried playing with the timing a bit and i got nothing seems a little better also i had never put the 5 spd ecu on b4 so i tried that and it cuts out at 6500 rpm my auto was at 6900 and another funny thing when my rear defroster on it stops the rpms at 5000 which is odd n e one have ne ideas hesitation is still there though
