Seagate has been junk ever since they acquired Maxtor. Stewart’s orders Seagate drives for their equipment because they always used to and they hate change. Long story short, nearly every Seagate drive we put in service within the last 6 months has physically failed. Needless to say, I finally got them to order WD instead.

Our desktops here at work are those new Dell desktop deals that use two laptop drives in RAID 1 and the drive CONSTANTLY fail. Ironically they are WD Green’s lol. Maybe it’s because they are laptop drive and not intended for 24-7-365 use.
