I know some of the photo geeks on here are going to disagree with my choice of lens, but I needed something with good range instead of having a bunch of lenses for various shooting.

I actually tell people to buy that lens a lot. It’s optically not as good as an L series, but it’s a good zoom range for the exact reason you said, especially if you don’t want to keep changing lenses.
What is the brand of the CF card? I need to look into a bigger one, 32GB or bigger.

Yeah, either way it’s an upgrade between the flash and the lense I have currently. I should be okay for now. I may go out and get a 50mm 1.8 since it’s only $100 on NewEgg (probably less elsewhere).
