the peak power on the amp is 2x the rms …sounds normal to me… it is a bitch amp…becuase i have weak subs… im not into the whole rattle the car loose bass… i just wanted something better than the stock subs
Fuck peak power, good amps are rated in RMS only. I am glad to hear that they changed it back to 2x which is the acceptable (non Jensen) industry standard. It’s still useless marketing number which shouldn’t be used at all.
I’ts not marketing number, its the number on the birth sheet of the amp… idk i personal like fosgate… JL is overpriced in my opinion
Regardless, it’s a number used for MARKETING. People like to see “2000w” even when it’s not.
JL is definitely overpriced, as is Fosgate. If you want great price and great quality, you have to look away from the large commercially available names and start searching for real equipment.
I wish I didn’t get so bored with car audio. Of course I got bored after spending a huge chunk of cash on an insane system. Hopefully the new owner enjoys ot and doesn’t piss off to many locals with it
