I don’t hate my stock wheels, and they are forged and made by Rays. (Volk).
They are really light for a 20" (25lbs IIRC) and I don’t want to put anything heavier on it… hence why I’m still on stock wheels.
Couldn’t care less how they’re made or how their factory is top notch if their wheels are a bit on the soft side and can’t take track abuse. My $300/wheel OZs, TR Motorsports, and Apex Race Wheels take the abuse just fine, look good, and well, are cheap as fuck.
To be fair, even everyone’s favorite CCW Classics are very soft as well. Lots of those higher-end multi-piece wheels are. HRE Monoblocks are in fact quite strong, but I still think there’s much better value out there that are still quite balling compared to just about anything around here.
I’d rock a set of Enkeis over any HRE wheel any day.

You’re gonna need to build a pole barn or something for storage soon, man.
You bought another S2000?
Probably

Nice. Love the 1st gen MS3s
I really like it. I’ve always been a fan of hatches. It’s got more than enough power for me, is fun in the twisties, and driving home with only a couple shenanigans I managed 32mpg.
Nicee. No hood scoop ftw
What Tarbox did you buy that from? I’m from RI, when I’m not up here at school.
A friend has a MS3 on KWs with Star Specs and it corners on rails. Cool cars, love the hatch body!
Toyota, in North Kingstown. Pretty nice dealership actually. It’s pretty new and has a glass elevator and a nail salon in it lol. They were pretty good to work with as well, but I was a pretty easy sale as I’ve been looking for the right car in the right price point for a couple months now. It was just a matter of waiting for one to pop up that was completely stock and in good shape.
Yeah it’s a pretty well rounded car from what I’ve seen so far. Very fun in the corners, plenty of power for me, still pretty good on gas, and yeah I’m a sucker for hatches. I love usable cargo space.
I know the dealership you’re talking about, I’m from NK and drove by there every day on my way to work last summer. Never been inside, but it sure looks nice.
Anyways, sounds like you’re happy with the MS3, enjoy!
