Powersteering Not working

I recently replaced my powersteering line ( from the pump to the rack) and it worked fine for a day and now my steering is extremely stiff, i cheked for leaks and there were none.

Could it be my powersteering pump?

Any ideas on the problem i need some help.
Also is it going to harm my car in any way if my powersteering is not working? Will it damage any gears?

maybe an air bubble?

How do i get rid of an air bubble?

Maybe there were no leaks because there’s no fluid to leak? Check to make sure that there’s fluid in the resevoir.

There is fluid, i mean i took the whole line out , fixed it and put it bak in, i put more fluid in, while adding fluid i probably filled the line with air.

Is there any other ideas as to what this could be?

Or how to get the air out of the line?

Just crank the wheel lock to lock a few times.

Then you drove it for a day and it was fine, then it got stiff…

My suggestion is that the fluid all leaked out during that day so when you checked for leaks there was no fluid left to leak…

It’s really not so tough to check the fluid…

BTW… the PS will self bleed just by turning the steering.

Maybe you got a piece of crap in the line when you put it on and now the crap has clogged one of the internal ports, either in the rack or in the pump itself. :?:
