actually it would be option 4, but i agree with you on this …
Thanks RX3 for fixing the poll.
Interesting that this poll is all over the place, that’s a good thing. It reflects the different types of mind sets on this subject. I guess the $5K car people are more dedicated to “modding” cars, and also long term projects. You don’t drop that kinda cash on mods and get rid of it in a year (me excluded ) Also like others have said, it depends on your situation. However the Dollar amounts really don’t matter, it’s how you would divide your budget. All of us know that the $25K car is easier to do because of financing and all that stuff, which makes it the path chosen by more people. However even with a $10K total budget, your split would probably be the same. We’ll whatever, thanks for the responces.
Those that know me well enough know that I am serious about not buying anything for a good long time.
X…
Or if you’re newman you drop the cash and never finish…or finish and drive it a couple weeks and sell it.
What I did…
Spend $30,000 then put $15,000 more into it and try to sell it a year later for $22,000 unsuccessfully.
What should be done…
Buy a car for $22,000 that has uber modifications exclusively for speed.
What I will do next…
Blow thousands of dollars more to feed my addiction.:smash2:
where is the 50/50 option?
I certainly wouldnt invest 30k into a car to lose 2/3 of that ever again. So if I had 30k laying around…I would start to restore a numbers matching muscle car and then when its done, ship it to Barrett Jackson and watch idiots with more $ than me get in a bidding war and give me lots of $. Then take that $ and buy Mikes Evo and a house
