problem crossing over spark plug part number

well I searched and found this part number for a SR20DET spark plug: BKR7ES-11
and I found this number, I think for a CA18DET? BCPR6EIX-11

but I went to crappy tire and bumper to bumper and crappy tire couldn’t even get in the BKR7’s and bumper to bumper can only cross over a copper and an iridium($16 each!!) and I was hoping for some platinums.

any help? do I have the wrong number, or is there just no platinum that will cross over?

thanks

Copper are just fine, just change them more often. Platinum and iridium etc just has a longer life.

hey dude, if you are planning on coming to edmonton anytime soon i get cost at bumper to bumper if you want to wait to get them.

well it seem like the platinum and iridium have really fine electrode tips which help ignite the air/fuel mixture by creating a smaller but hotter spark. and that is more what I am after than what the tip of the electrode is coated in.
I agree, as far as basic operation copper is great, it conducts really well, just wears out slightly sooner. and iridium seems too expensive for what it accually offers. so the platinum is a nice compromise between the two at a more resonable price.

what is cost on them??

can anyone help me out?
