hey guys, i just got an 95 240sx with an sr2det engine. when i go to canadian tire, i have to choose a spark plug according to make and model of my car, but i have an sr20det engine, can i use the ones specified for the 240? thanks

hey Sonny
I believe all this and other engine part info is easyly available in the FAQ section or try doing a search man shouldnt be hard to find on this forum

Mael

i found a site that has a whole bunch of spark plugs. it has 240sx KA plugs, silvia sr20det plugs, and another one that says 240sx sr20det plugs, this is probably the one i should get right?

what is the site?

o hks spark plugs, baller. Those would work but really search around here you can find ones that will work for cheaper.

BKR7E gapped to 0.028"

Ask the guy at CT to look up the NGK #6097

If he can’t find it in a general catalog, have him order it form the Keystone catalog. It’s like $2ea

what guy at ct, whats ct?

CT is Canadian tire, he meant to go ask the parts guy.

cool thanks man

im running hks plugs been happy w/ them. going to change them nismo soon tho

Waste of money :o

Yo i went to CT, the plugs were $13 each for the BKR7EXI Iridium?
is there a different between the iridium and the regular ones performance wise?

nvm i did the research, not really unless ur getting up there in PSI and HP

G has it right - get BKR7e’s. They are they cheapest and they work the best…what more do you want?

i just couldn’t figure what the difference from iridium to the regular ones performance wise. I researched and basically came up with the conclusion they are pointless for me in my build. They provide a stronger spark allowing a slightly larger gap but ur better off upgraded your electrical then spending $50 on plugs.

You got it…and at $2-3 a plug you can change them out nice and frequently to make sure they are always fresh.

Yeah go to a local Canadian Tire, don’t use the parts catalogue and DON’T ask anyone for help!

Just browse through the plugs and buy the BKR7E ones as aforementioned.

These plugs won’t be on the shelves at CT, I’d just go to NAPA and tell them the part number and they will be able to get it for you.

Always ask questions as a LAST resort at CT. The people there in general are very very fucking dumb.

For those of you who work at CT, offence is intended to you.

Since I saw the other thread direct to here and it was closed.

I got mine from here:

I am sure we can get better pricings from local vendors however… plus u gotta wait for it to come from BC lol…

There’s a few listings on which for which motor.

You have to be kidding me if you ordered sparkplugs from PDM considering you can get the exact from CT
