pure garbage

you would think that exhaust gasket material could take some heat.

this stuff chars 10 times faster then plastic floor mats

NO REALY … plastic floor mats hold up better to exhaust heat

in fact, this gasket material chars at such a low heat, that you can burn a piece in front of torpedo heater, and still touch it afterwards

maybe tomorrow ill take my infrared thermometer and figure out exactly what temp it starts to degrade …

even better is Jan cen told me this shit would hold up on a turbo header … and it cant even survive at the “firewall” flange on the turbo sho … 3+ feet behind the turbo

Interesting that they would even market something that worked so poorly.

Are you sure it was the right temp materialr? At my work we sell 3 or 4 different temp ranges of gasket material.

comsidering the material we were using is graphite in color, and does have the metal mesh in it, i do beleive it is in fact the graphite / metal core gasket material by mr gasket

its kinda hard to mistake, and a search of summitracing.com shows threres no other option that looks the same from them

yeah, that shit died out on my car as well, the downpipe gasket we made now looks like its just window screen. needless to say the car currently has no gaskets lol

MR gaskets headergaskets blow nuts as well, I go though one a year
