professional clutch install :picard:

For the sake of being a nice guy I will keep my mouth shut. Although Chris has bad mouthed me and my guys before.

It is unfortunate that you had this problem. I hope it gets resolved for you. Good luck.

what would have been the labor charge for a shop to do it??? was it a big savings?

Gary or I would have charged $500. And we are professionals with alot of experience.

A shop like Innovative would have charged 850 taking into account their labor rate and the amount of time this job calls for. They are book time 10 hour jobs.

wow 500 bucks

i bought the clutch with plans of making huge power
the clutch can handle any power i would put at it and it was fully hydraulic and has lighter then stock pedal feel.

i should have brought it to a shop and gary i was going to bring it to you. originally price started at 300 then moved to 400 during it and ended up being 500 at the end. if i would have knew that i would have brought it elsewhere

alldata is down hold on

AH, okay. I Figured it half of that okay.

I still don’t see $50/hr labor an amongst friends rate, but IDK maybe thats just me.

When I pay Don to do a job, I pay him to do a job because that his gig, and because I’m bringing it to him to do it FOR me.
Whereas if I ask him for help with something, I’ll buy him some crown.

/Out until otherwise necessary.

oh absolutely, if this were friends helping friends, you don’t charge. However if this is business. That’s another story.

dang dude… that really sucks. I can’t wait to hear the other side of the story. for future reference, you should do what I (and I’m sure a lot of other board members) do- anything you can’t do yourself bring to don or gary, they’ve never done me wrong over all the years. good luck

Sometimes dragging the dirty laundry out in the open is the only want to get things done in these situations. If/when it is resolved try not to dwell.

Yea im really suprised it got this bad mike. Good Luck Man

shut up dave  jk sucks they didnt man up to there mistakes and try to make it better before this had to happen, if all this does it let people know not to let these 2 do work on your cars

im just wondering how pauls evo is gunna do if this is his quality of work:/…

Edit:20 friggin people in this thread wow.

I’m thinking I’ll stay out of this one… but $500 for a “sidejob” seems pretty steep. And then to have it turn out like this to boot

I think most people who have no useful opinnion should stfu as you know nothing. I am a nuetral friend of both.I also know Chris has gone out of his way to help people in this thread with no reimbursement. I say this thread is closed till Replys from all partys are made.

My spec was even less lol

It was also put in the wat. :fu:

LoL jk good luck with that.

That install goes way past the bounds of “bad”.
I mean Jesus. Anyone interested in salvaging some shred of dignity would make an effort
to make amends.

:io:

wow that sucks mike, looks like a badass clutch tho…(before the damage)
