Project B16 CRX

My buddy rents a parts washer… uses a solvent and I wire brush everything also!

Went thru PartsDinosaur.com
Built my own kit with ITM pistion rings and Enginetech rod bearings

I use a 2.0 mega pixel camera, “Best shot” option lol… Wish I had a 10mga

why is your brake booster red?

Red = Stop

But it was the only color I had when it came time to paint…lol

lol its always xmas in the engine bay!

Trying to figure out what I need to get this B16 into a 88 EF CRX. I picked up these black motor mounts and was told they are for just that but they don’t seem right to me. The first two pics are the driver side bracket that bolts to the block, the one is a GSR but I don’t know what the other is from. Neither seem to work with the black mounts? Then I picked up theses red ones for cheap which came out of a 92-95 Honda civic but I don’t know what motor… Any help would be appreciated

your best bet is to buy a new set of hasport mounts or something else new that you know is for that chassis

That would be the easy way and the more $$$ way

next

are those d-series mounts? they look familiar. d16-z6?

I was told they were used in a B-series CRX?

[SIZE=2]This mount works with the none GSR bracket

This one would work except they don’t line up parallel

I’m also trying to work on this a little at a time, Its like every wire has been hacked into. Going to approach this one wire at a time. Once the engine is mostly assembled I want to make a harness from the engine to the ECU. Then redo the chasse harness wire by wire eliminating what’s no longer needed.

Looks like your getting into the real time consuming part

yeah this picture shows an hr of progress…lol

Got some new parts in! Hoping to get a lot done this weekend!

are those drop in rings or file fit?

Brian

did you see that link I emailed u

tell me please 1 of those 3 turbos are going on this

I don’t know, I will check the gap regardless

Yes thanks, Im still working out this motor mount stuff. Anyone know how to tell T-brackets apart buy looking at them?

I have confirmed these number at two different sites. I just have to figure out how to identify them. The one I have doesn’t have any numbers that I could see.

Rear Transmission Bracket Part # 50827-SK7-020, '90-'93 Integra non-VTEC
Rear mount bracket 50827-SK7-020 JDM XSI/ 90-93 Integra

What about the mount that bolts to the block on the driver side… How many different ones are there?

No sorry… I’m out of the Turbo business,
[SIZE=2]But the giveaway would be the stock internals I’m using

Picked up a few wire wheels to hopefully clean up the block a bit.

ARe you sayin stock internals cant handle boost?

That’s not what I’m saying. What I am saying is if I am going through all this knowing I’m going to boost, I would have bought forged pistons and rods. I’m sure your using stock internals on your 400whp D-series… right?

Just out of curiosity how much boost can stock internals handle?
