did u do all of the assembling yourself or did u work with that old guy you were telling me about lol
Myself. My guy has Shreks motor. Really wasnt hard to do.
argh i wish i could do this with my gsr, as far as cleaning everything up. i want to throw in new rings and bearings but i have no knowledge of that and would not even touch it lol
You have tools and the internet? Got to start some place
i dont have all of the tools, for measuring purposes. thats the problem
i can disassemble a block fine (but who cant? lol), just putting it back together would be the toughy
maybe this will help you, maybe not, i took this out of a text
Dirty
Clean

FPR dirty rusty

One of the tips was cracked - Wanted to see how they worked.
They cleaned up ok… just going to rust again unless I paint them or get them coated
IACV was nasty so I was going to clean it, dont think they are meant to come apart… wrong one anyways…lol
Then this…wtf
More to clean…
Some work on the other, other car
get the VHT flameproof paint at Advance for that header. holds up pretty well.
brian
looking good, i like how your cleaning up every part
Some extra parts I had laying around…
The bay
in must be nice having huge turbos, manifolds and intercoolers just laying around lol
I have 2 GSR manifolds, cant give them away. The FMI was traded for the PR3’s, old pic.
lol i also just noticed u have a gun laying against the wall.
are the gsr manifolds just stock ones?
SKS… just in case. Yes both stock
Looking good so whens the start up date?
fantastic attention to detail on this build.
I don’t really know. Im half tempted to drop it in the CX until my other motor is closer to being ready. Probably just wait until I can get the CRX over to the shop. I just don’t want to get into to many projects at one time. I have so much to do to Shrek. I’ll probably plug along on the wiring harness during the week and work on Shrek on the weekends. So to answer the question not anytime soon
Thanks… I wish I would have had the block cleaned better but I didn’t want to spend the green
Im so happy, I just found this. Going to make this wiring 10X easer I hope!?

tim what/how are you cleaning all the parts? or are you doing it at work? are you just wire wheeling it and such?
Wire wheel, parts cleaner… time…
Just found this also… might be the answer to my engine mount question?
1988 CRX HF
This was the first day I got it home, would like to get it painted inside its a light blue. Needs some TLC here and there.
When I showed up to trailer this shell home it was seating on rims only. I went to a local tire shop and bought 4 used tires and had them mounted for 10 bucks each.
