ahh sorry i misunderstood
i would still build the cx anyways, much easier and ALOT more room in the engine bay…
btw you still interested in that mount and starter?

Anyone know what the deal is with the speedometer for the CRX… Is there a mechanical to electrical conversion? The tranny I have has the electrical and the speedo looks mechanical… What would be easyer? Ill try to get some pics up
you can get the speedo with the cable from any 90-93 integra or you can get a jdm cluster that has an electronic vss and wire it up that way
the rwd crx will have a giant feat of not being able to mount a rear axel, so he will have to build a custom sub frame in the back, he would have been better off making a tube chassis and mounting his shell over it.
shrek if you need any random interior shit let me know, i have some spare stuff.
I will have to see what cluster I have. So with a cable style the ECU doesn’t know the speed? Or it must get the signal from the gauge?
Got some parts in and sure enough shits fucked up… I ordered the wrong TB gaskets. I was in the Honda part for the B16 but needed gaskets from a Acura type R b/c I’m not running a fast idle valve
heres the typ-R (4)
here’s the B16 (9)
Then I had to buy a water outlet cover (6) and the hole for the bleeder bolt (10) wasnt tapped… wtf it’s always something
Still working on the Freeze plug issue. I contacted Endyn b/c they use them in there breather kits.
or there’s this
but not for $30… Z10 does have some cool stuff - http://www.z10eng.com/catalog/index.php
Need the 90-93… whos got one?
you should be able to find that mount fairly easily as alot of people use those blocks and put them in 92-01 civics/ 94+ integras
easiest way for you to go is with the cable speedo cable and cable vss
just wanna give ya props on the great build man gl with the rest of the build
Shrek, can you link me to the thread where the dude is putting that s2k motor in the crx?
edit: nvmd, didn’t see the link
freeze plug for which hole?
The OEM crankcase drain back hole
i believe the size of the plug is between a 34.4-34.6mm aluminum plug.
ill be stopping into the machine shop to see if they have any then ill let you know.
hey man, just got back from the machine shop, they did have a freeze plug but its 1mm too big, so he said to either dremel out the hole in the block or to file down the plug so it fits right.
Sounds like risky business, the slightest bit too small and that a HUGE potential failure.
oh that one. its hard to find a correct size plug. i just bought one that was real close then just jb welded it in there haha.
its holding just fine
i bought the B&R fitting block plug and had it in 2 days, def worth the money as most freeze plugs do not fit properly
It’s made by Dorman - Part number 555-104B
removed this plate
soo… how do u know how fast ur going lol
Well this wheel is smaller and blocks the tack, I only installed this tach b/c the stock one quit working. I found the loose wire so Ill probably remove it now. Who cares how fast your going? You mean in town… I can tell by gear and RPM’s
