^^ better on gas no doubt. But we all know fwd is for fags lol
Hey Aaj2k5
I have a fully counterweighted KA crankshaft from bc, but stock stroke.
Let’s have a chat. I’d like to know what you think regarding the rotating assembly and the changes of the engine telemetry with respect to torsional stresses.
Do you run solidworks? That modelling looks brilliant.
Sounds good man give me a pm sometime.
Solidworks 2009 yep I have a lot more parts drawn up I’ve just never posted em up - mostly Q45 diff parts. You can do some sick things with Solidworks.
I’ve debated a stock BC fcw crank, but was trying to figure out a budget way - L20B cranks are $133 new
I’m considering selling my crankshaft… anyhow. I’m having a difficult time adjusting from Autocad to Solidworks… I’m in architecture afterall lol
I’d love to do thermal stress analysis.
PM me what you’re looking to get for the crankshaft if u could…
The jump from 2D to 3DCAD is a tough one but Solidworks or even Autodesk Inventor are amazing. I’ve just started learning how to do fluid dynamics testing and doing some tutorials on the stress analysis because even the teachers at Conestoga can’t tell me how to do it lol. I can get u legal copies of either if you’re serious about it.
+1 for autodesk inventor. Stress analysis is pretty easy to set up in that.
Solidworks FTW
Other than the instability I love modeling products in it. Too bad it costs so much to get prototypes made.
I’m very interested in the Counterweighted KA
I’m looking for 2500 for the crankshaft. It’s been knife edged and rebalanced @ gord bush. You even retain your stock oil squirters. Just trying to recover my money.
check out my blog for images

I gotta pick that up. I’ve been trying to do solid state flow analysis for ages and it just doesn’t process. Some of my primary parameters are incorrect.
Have you learned via your classes in college? I downloaded a huge information, step by step video file for solidworks and flow-works and I’m wondering if I can learn from that.
I can use 3d modelling in cad as well as 3dmax, but it’s really just not the same.
would it be alright if i requested some solidworks drawings from you?
That way i wouldn’t have to start from scratch?
Exams are done so I got antsy… ZEDD Findings Floorpans took soo much work to fit, I was mildly ticked.
Mocked up Sentra front coilover, S14 arm + spindle - Time to order some HSD S13 coilovers and make some camber plates.
Cleaned up drivers side front well tonight - 3 more nights of working like this and the car will be entirely primed
Needs more LS lol
Looks like it’s coming along nicely.
LS eh, I like your hustle.
If I can keep ditching the gf, the bish will be spotless soon lol. PS I found a way to make the rear subframe alot simpler, all thx to RB240z from here.
Hey, those parts in solidworks were mint. Would you be able to email me that spreadsheet regarding the counterweighting?
I’m updating that sheet atm, i’ll put it up on Google Docs when I’m done. I’m also making up a blueprinting sheet for the KA as well as designing a pile more parts for it on Solidworks - Valve assemblies are done so far, cylinder head next.
Car is going to Adam’s (S13Counterpart) place this week to start work on the frame rails, R34 subframe mount, camber plates and possibly a cage, so I got the entire car primed. Floors are only tacked in as they are probably coming back out to weld in the rear subframe mounts.
My wiener is hard… Just so you know.
That’s how excited I am.
No homo.
Me too.
2 of my buddies bailed but theres still 3 of us coming to set it up on pig roast. How bad is the 400 on a thursday evening?
NOrthbound may be a bit of a bitch as all the commuters are coming home.
