and from a roll it might be close with a completely stock m3 just becuase of the fact that it has 252lbs tq and an m3 only has like 230lbs

Most people don’t realize that Viggens are big time under rated from the factory. Any healthy stock Viggen will put down ~220fwhp and an ass load of torque bone stock.

The main problem with Viggens and all Saab NG900s and 9-3’s is that their chassis, and suspension are prehistoric.

I think I saw you today coming down route 7 in rotterdam at about 5pm. If so, the car is lookin nice considering the recent weather

they are deff not underreated . . . when i raced Josh it was from a dig and ended up completely walking him by multiple CL’s and that was when my car was completely stock (240hp at the crank… around 215whp) and if they are 220whp he would have walked me considering he has 30 more pounds of torque . . .im not trying to be a dick but idk why some people are trying to argue the facts of the Viggen

luvin2speed, I’m not saying that your M3 didn’t beat Josh’s Viggen. What I am wondering if his Viggen is running correctly as a stock M3 vrs. Viggen should at least be close from a roll.

From a dig it’s a different story. A stock Viggen will run a high 14 1/4 mile stock which isn’t that great. They are traction limited big time. FWD+tons of torque+crap suspension/chassis= crap 60fts, especially on the street.

They don’t handle or launch great, but they’re pretty nasty from a roll. A Viggen’s sweet spot is 3rd gear on the highway.

Josh I think you should get your car on a dyno so that you have a better idea of how it’s running.

with three ppl in the car we pulled an LT1 z28 cameo automatic by 1/2 car or so. it was me, josh and some other guy… josh remember?

i dont know how you can say that the suspension in the viggen is prehistoric
but everyone has their own opinions on different cars
but im not goin to make any excuses for the way she drives its mostly driver error IMHO
and yes nick did walk me by a very good amount.
the vig is the fastest car ive owned and one of the fastest ive ever driven esp when u hit 2/3rd gear barely any lag if any at all

LT1 Camaros are about a 13.9 sec car. Hopefully you ran one with a 3.23 gear and not a 2.73 gear for sake of arguement. Either way I think you should be close to high 13s or at least 95+ mph traps

I ran the same LT1 Camaro with my dad’s 4 door GTP, bone stock…and was a fender ahead, if not dead even.

Its gotta be a 2.73 car then… most were. Im still lookin for a 4 door GTP :sad

You couldn’t be any more wrong… I have a 99 Viggen as well, and I have many friends with Viggens. I have dyno sheets from my friends with Stock viggens that are pushing out 224whp/285wtq and 225whp/300wtq bone stock. Not even an intake. The one with 300wtq was also beat on and had 110k miles on it.

That sounds like a GTP motor. 240hp 300tq stock. My car made 300whp and 400wtq. Torque monsters FTW! Its not the best for 60’s tho.

i would love to see those “dyno sheets” saying they are 224WHP “stock” . . . and i will have fun in my m3,hopfully i will run into you on the highway so i can have another viggen under my belt. But way to talk shit ethug . .
