which do you think is better?

ps3 - pro’s

  1. blueray player
    2.free online
  2. no batteries for controllers
  3. sturf the web(how i’m online right now)
  4. wiressless adaptor built-in
  5. way lighter controllers
    7.games made with blueray discs which are more durable
  6. better graphics
  7. better value
    cons-
  8. not user friendly(harder to access friends list)
  9. no music while playing games
  10. have to get the 80g if u want all the features(memory card slots)
  11. my mic doen’t work on all games b/c i connect through a router(b.s if u ask me)

360 pro’s
1.music while you play
2. friends list and messages are easy to access
3. mic works on all games
4. more games(they’ve been out longer)
cons-

  1. microsoft!!!
  2. lots of probems(light of death)
  3. 100$ for the wireless adaptor
  4. HD movies no longer being made!!
  5. HD + the new blue ray drive cost extra 50-200$ extra…
  6. heavy controllers
  7. batteries in conrtollers(no charge and play, cost extra for battery packs + charge and play battery pack)
  8. 80$ a year for xbox live, plus what it costs you for internet service(bend over and open wide guys!!!)
  9. can’t surf the net(for those who don’t have a computer and pay for both internet and Live, doesn’t really apply to all on here being most of us are on a computer, execpt me for now)
  10. microsoft points are probably a rip off!!
  11. there are so many little kids that play online it’s fucking annoying.
  12. cords(wtf is with that big power block on the power cord??)

i’m sure i might have missed a few pro’s and cons somewhere, but this is what i can think of off the top of my head.

my roommate has the 360 elite(120g) and i have a 40g ps3. i play both daily so this isn’t just shit i took off some web page or anything.

80g ps3 499
120g 360 549+ 200(blueray player) + 100(wireless adaptor)+ 80$(xbox live)+ 20$ battery packs =950$
thats alot of extra money to make the 360 do what the ps3 does, even then it still can’t surf the net. i hate ps3 b/c u can’t push the button on the middle of the control to make your msg’s and friends list pop-up. that could be taking care of with a software update. for the ps3 to do what the 360 does it needs a free software update.

ps3 all the way the only thing that sucks about the ps3 is when u charge the controllers they have like a cable that is like a foot long so u can really play when charging

if you have enough controllers thats not an issue, so what if you got to sit closer to he t.v atleast you can still play! 10$ gets you the longer cord. 3m or some shit.

You forgot to mention Bluetooth as well for the PS - not sure if the xbox has it as well.

I just bought Vegas 2 last week and still playing through the game, so I haven’t played online yet, but will as soon as I’m done.

i hate xbox 360 …but aperantly when new grant theft auto comes out on october 16 2008 i saw this video on you tube how the game is made in some different level and one of the kind and in order to enjoy and find out complete game play you would need to use 360 or pc …so i am kinda pissed off about that and i am big fan of ps but unfortunatly i will have to get 360…i know this is kinda off topic but i had to get this out there http://youtube.com/watch?v=PR7ruH9cMwg

XBOX 360 for Forza 2 and PS3 for the new Gran Turismo coming out!

you said you play both everyday, some of the information you posted i think is wrong. wireless adaptors arent that much, just depends were you get em. microsoft points aren’t that much of a rip off, points can be used in some games to purchase new levels and update the gameplay so its gets different over time. and i also bought my online play for almost 15 less than what you posted. i’ve always been into playstation, but in with 360 now since all of my buddies have it. all depends on what you want to get out of the system.

True. I bought my elite for $449 not $549. i got the adapter for 25, the charge kit and extra contoller for free(don’t ask). Microsoft points aren’t really needed but they are nice for the extra content, and for the classic games you can download like pacman, and the old street fighters. Xboxlive 12 month subcription was $60 thats $5 bucks amonth so it’s not a big deal, but like oneeight said it all depends on what you like. I have had xbox since the first gen console so it was an easy swich to 360. With the lights of death it all depends i had my first 360 for about 2 years before I got the red rings of death, and microsoft replaced it free and it the whole process took one week to get my new console.

who has times for video games… i’m either working on the car or working or driving…

i got a ps2, game cube, n64, atari, xbox (you name it i got it with stacks of games) and they all make great door stops or display peices. lol

got my bro a 360 for x-mas, he had over heating issues within a month and a mulitude of things needing to call Microsoft tech support… just from reading articles and the maybe 30 min in total on either system… PS3 for sure.

Forza 2 is ok, but i find when you bump someone even a little bit(online), the other guy goes fly’n across the road, it’s pretty crazy!! if i had to choose between one or the other, gt5 all the way. we paid 70 something for our first year and 60 for our second.

another thing not mentioned is the psp connects to the ps3 for updates, and you can d/l content with the ps3 and transfer to your psp. handy if you actually have a psp!! which i don’t, i have an ipod for music and video’s(has cheap games too!!).

this gta 4 is gonna be better on 360?? i want it on ps3 for the graphics, but 360 for the online(mic dont work on ps, fucking router) and if it has more levels/stuff then maybe i’ll just have to buy both!!

the points seem like a rip off, it should be in money like on the ps3. then atleast you know your not gettin screwed!

if you don’t have a HD t.v then buy the 360, the blue ray movies look fucking awesome!! sure they are more expensive, but the picture quality is unreal, depending on your t.v and if your running it hdmi or not.

i’ve had a few buddies that had to wait months for thier 360, some of them got it back in weeks. to many of them have had problems!

the bluetooth is nice if u already had a BT headset, atleast you know your headset will last awhile, we have gone through 3 360headsets already still on my same bt headset(althought it doesn’t work for most games). it works for my phone, so when i’m playing 360 i use it so i don’t have to leave the controller. makes playing forza online much easier when you don’t have to leave in the middle of each race to answer the phone!!

microsoft store is full of useless crap, pictures from games that you have to pay for?? wallpapers you have to pay for. you can get wallpapers on ps3 but you don’t have to pay for them…

ps3 internet broswer is an awesome feature, you can look up codes for games, search shit on google yadda yadda, but you can’t check your hotmail for some reason, that and no porn!! i wanted to see a 42" pussy!!! j/k but seriously it is good if you dont have a computer, or like me your computer decides to fuck up and die.

i recommend both, but the ps3 is better in graphic and value. forza is nothing compared to gt.

Im not a hardcore gamer, but I decided to buy a xbox 360 to pass some time when I was bored…Then 6 months later I see this red circle and it doesnt work anymore…For now im playing sega genesis but because of this experience I will never buy a gaming console ever again.
