Putting the MAN in manifold

Yah you’ve deffinatly become way too cocky now that you have a stock SR.

All the more to feed me my words and shut me up for good. :run:

i will be damn close to the 300 mark if not over…but then again, i’m not a s-chasis so i guess i don’t count

im pretty sure there are more than 10 people in the GTA right now who have 300-400 whp or more in a 240sx…

dont kid yourself

no no no … all the fast cars are on Son240sx.ca, if there not here they dont exist…

Thanks for the comments boys…actually up early today…taking it to Fireball to get coated…so I can get it on the car ASAP.

I should have the car back on the road by next weekend… just waiting on an intake for the new turbo.

I’ll post some more shots when it comes back from coating…

No faith?

it’s… lime… green…

Why the bottom mount?

That I wondered too; perhaps it’s more cost effective. Then again, he’s
buying all these baller things already.

So I guess Dan, this means no more “Danger to manifold” eh?

And why are you ceramic coating it? It’s durable as is. :dunno:

takes big $$$ and know-how to get a KA there brucey… i think only guys by the name of Adam have built them and still own them in this neck of the woods.[/quote]

Let us not forget outside influences Bing. There are still quite a few people who know how to build that kind of power, reliably. So don’t make assumptions Bingo.

As for the list, I’ll be on there too, provided I get the damn thing out next year lol.

Bing needs to relax… that’s what Bing needs to do…

It’s not a durability thing, it’s a heat thing.

Gotcha. I was thinking more along the lines of strength and forgetting
about heat transfer.

Dan, why not leave it uncoated for now? It’s pure eye-candy as is.

Because in the world of horse power eye candy holds second flag.

In the world of horsepower stock bottom and top ends hold second flag…

in the world of horsepower eye candy usually = reliability

if your engine bay is a mess chances are your siht is gonna fail soon. Sloppy workmanship = sloppy results

dan that is the most pimp manifold ever, can i have a shot looking inisde the mani from the turbo flange? i wanna see the collector, thats where hte power is gained im sure!

Thanks dude, fireball just to hold more heat in i guess eh?

I def want to do this before next season but I doubt it’ll happen.

Have you driven the 0.86 with your other mani yet? If so plz compare spool rpm!

Thanks dude looks sensual

blah blah blah…

neither of you guys has a 300 rwhp KA, and almost no one does and that was my point.

i didnt name other peoples names because i dont know who is doing what next year. Ed could have 300hp with his current set up but chooses not to.

lots of other people say they have this or are going to do that but it doesnt mean poo…

my posting of the list was meant to see people add their names who are going to have 300hp. not going to have it if they can get a job or find the right car or find the time.

and scotty i meant 10 people on SON, not 240sx’s in general, but hector was right, if they arent on here then they dont matter. they are just guys with cars that happen to be 240sx’s.

the reason dan went with a bottom mount is likely for simplicity, less custom work = cheaper, i think the bottom mount is also cheaper than the top mount, plus GT3 turbo’s are also more expensive. he can use his existing turbo extension and downpipe as well.

his turbo and this manifold with the rest of his set up will net him 350rwhp easily. he has the capacity to hit 400rwhp with his set up too… why go topmount?

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…

who else is going to be running this kind of power?

Nice Dan!

Looks really good.

It’s a cheaper manifold because it’s the prostreet not prostock manifold.

No one has a 300+hp KA except a select few because most people with money buy an SR instead of trying to sink it into their KA.

They want boost right away…

Hate to say it, but everyone who seems to build a KA-T buys the turbo kit, slaps it on, and runs “low boost” because they dont build the bottom end like they should.

The few guys that have built the bottom end, Adam and Adam, have KA-Ts with the power… Anyone else see the blatently obvious trend?

Here’s a tip people… dont buy the kit until you build the motor… running low boost is a poor excuse for not taking the time to build the motor first…
