Putting the MAN in manifold

what a disgusting comment,

i dont even think you have been in my car in a while.

^^^ Lets keep that one in PM if it escalates any further, yea?

muhahaha

half of your car r belong to me

anyways…
Dan very nice. ive been eager to see it! looks like the bolts will be fun times though lol
and bing dont you worry ill be running with you guys soon… 2871R is shipped

so what, want me to put a sponsored by bing sticker on my car or something.

if your so cool find me a bubble shifter.

if you guys read the full race website carefully it says their manifolds are custom made to order, im 100% sure that one is made in house by full race.

Greddy Manifold was from a guy BomexS13 on Zilvia. He owns a business and did the best price shipped to Canada ($440usd) Obviously, the above manifold came from Full-Race directly

Was the intake for an s13 or s14?
Also did he sell it to you for $440usd shipped?
How much did you get nailed for on duty/brokerage?

on the topic of the intake manifolds;

the knock-off manifolds are proven to dyno the same as the Greddy’s and they weight less.

neat eh?

I think the weight loss is as a result of the huge holes in the casting

Yeah - the knock offs are pretty good. I’ve seen a few have issues but definately one of the safer bets.

they also fit alot worse and the inside of the manifold is rough-er

not to argue, but technically both of those points are moot considering hp gains are equal.

sheer build quality is the best point one could make regarding this one though - hard to argue without having actual numbers and just going on bings word.

You get what you pay for.

Stuff like SSAutoChrome’s junk may work just as well but how long will it last for (their products are known to “randomly fail”)

I would rather buy ONE good part than buy knockoffs and having to replace them all the time because they are built with shitty materials/processes.

A lot of people on here simply cannot afford to spend something like
$900USD on a manifold. Simply because they can’t justify ever making
the most use out of it or using it to its full potential.

These so called knock-offs or cheap/mass produced parts let them get
a little benefits over stock setup, without spending too much money.

Me on the other hand, I could afford Full Race, but I’m just too brown. :o
And I’m at a point where I really don’t know whether I can justify
spending that kind of cash.

Guess we’ll find out if I am the master of my own (and my SR’s) demise.

Knock offs entered this discussion when we started talking about Intake Manifolds…not Full-Race

That being said, currently right now there is no knock-off externally gated bottom mount manifolds. Believe me, if I had more manifold options I may not have gone Full-Race…but for what I want/need…they are the only game in town.

blah i was just saying…

people call them Freddy (as opposed to Greddy) manifolds…lol

the guy i bought my ECU off of ran 386wrhp with one. cant argue with that

build quality is subjective anyways.

here is a graph of a car before and after on the FReddy intake mani…

anyways, i dont wanna keep bumping knock-offs because apparently i’m mr. knock-off now but i do think that the “u get what u pay for” speech doesnt hold water.

VTEC OWNS YOU!!!

Kidding, Dan I got some plans for spring.

Me and you buddie at the Christmas Tree anytime…

I assumed you dud dude…

Xmas Tree = Looking forward to it.

Dan could you post a pic of the inside of the runners on your greddy manifold before you install it?? Curious to see how the casting looks.

I can, but I’m afraid the images will no longer show you what you want to see.

I gave the manifold to Fireball as well to get coated and I’m sure they will coat the inside too. Any issues/holes with the casting will be filled and the runners will most definately be smooth.

But, we’ll see.
