congrats to eric for making the finals…he ended up a 12.02 or something crazy like that i can’t rmembmer.
as for me and jim, eh we had traction issues all night and i had problems hitting 2nd good because i was revving too high, out of 7 runs 5 of them were mid 12’s my fastest was a 12.511@110.84 still smacking the 111mph barrier i can’t seem to cross. went 12.5-12.8 on all but 2 runs so i was happy.
jim was mind fucking himself all night and eventually went a 13.1@108 somewhere around 23psi. his boost controller kept backing off and the bov line from the intake manifold kept popping off so he was just having a shitty night. but 13.1 with a 2.0 60’ on his first night ever racing his eclipse wasn’t too bad in my opinion.
track aint’ allt hat bad, interesting downhill 1/8th and uphill second half, prep was non existant as me and jim were both spinning through 1st to the 60’
I dunno where blue went he told me and eric he was comin up…i think we ended up being the quickest street cars there a c5 went home after a 14.8 against me, an 03/04 cobra was low 13s most of the night from what i saw. i’d def race out there again but the track itself seems to be slower than at keystone, i was trapping the same but getting through 1st gear was a mess,. it never cooled down out there like i expected, i think it was in the 70’s the whole night, so if i can run a 12.5@110 in 70 degree weather i think the car is pulling harder than my 12.4@111 in 50 degree weather (at least on that intercooler anyway.)
you’ll typically run .1 slower at Quaker, and usually 1mph slower too.
Low 13’s high 12’s sounds about right for a stock 03/04 cobra. what color was it? I had a few buddies go up their last night.
There was a torch red 10th anniversary one… he usually runs low 12’s on street tires. There was an orange one, who usually goes low to mid 12’s as well. And I think a few stock ones went up too… I think the stock one was black.
the red one was there but he wasn’t low 12s…unless he wasn’t the same one or wasn’t in the street class i dunno, i saw the orange one but he was in TNT come to think of it there were 2 red ones, one was TNT class maybe that was him :dunno: i didn’t watch the TNT class for times
they made two kinds of red’s on the cobras… one that looks orangish (same color as the 2000 cobra-r). Other looks more like a blood red and is metallic. Torch Red, and Redfire Metallic.
The Torch Red one, also would have red/black leather seats. That car was always running 12.1’s at PRP on street tires. The orange one, last time i saw him run was like mid to low 12’s (he goes by GOT SVT on here).
the one i saw in TNT was a really bright red, sounded mean, passed me on the turnpike on the way home so the one that was in the street class must not have been your buddy.
