Also wanted to know if it was legal to do it? and do i have to drive to qubec also to get my plates?

i would like here your opions all opions are welcome

thanks

its not legal

its a risk

actual chances of getting caught? hard to say.

enough people do it… but it’s still a risk.

penalty if caught? well, let’s just say: dont expect to pay normal insurance rates anytime soon thereafter

honestly just face the fact, here in Ontario your going to have high insurance rates, but the sooner you pay them, then the sooner your rates are going down.
I had my own insurance since i was 16, i bit the bullet payed high rates for 2 years. then i was at pretty much 92 dollars a month.

just deal with the high rates, they will decrease if your a good driver that is…lol

You don’t have to go that far out of the GTA to find cheaper insurance rates  An address change to an hour or two north east, and the difference is unbelievable…

this works. just say the car is registered in your friends name and so on. If you get pulled over whats the problem im using borrowing the car blah blah blah

^^^ and get your friend to write a ‘‘note’’ with contact information saying he is allowing you to borrow the car!

^^^ i wouldnt do that, if iw as the cop id get suspicsious if u hand me over a note saying u borrowed a car. honesty who gets a note to borrow a car.

what if you get pulled over 2 or 3 times in a month, lets make it a little unfair. what if the SAME cop pulls you over, yes you can say your down for visiting, but honestly. Just start with high rates, it wont take more then a year of clean driving for them to go down, if you cant afford the rates at the moment , then dont drive. i had to hold out on driving for a few months to save when i was younger.

fucking the system is good, yes…but not matter what, sooner or later your going to have to pay for you own insurance.

yeah just pay what u got to pay for a year or so. it goes down by alot find a good broker. my friend was looking for insurance for his van , he got quated 700 dollars a month by state farm lol, the lady was like it would have been 400 but because u already have plates on the car its 700. anyways he called up a broker and got it for 165.
