Hey for those who have a RHD car where the hell do i get insurance for one??..if u know where plz give me the name and or number. Is it really expensive for insurance on one??..Although i have my eye on a Skyline GTS-T as to the RX-7 is it hard and expensive to get parts or are they both the same…plz get back to me soon

if it’s a JDM car thats what matters… you either go to an insurance company that has the car listed in their system ( which is pointless since it costs an arm and a ****ign leg ) you need to get a appraisal on your vehicle and get and get the car insured based on the appraised price … as for parts GTS parts are much easier and cheaper to find then GTR parts i have found . and since the FD was sold here i assume it is even easier to find parts for /
Just start calling around. In my search, i found that some companies wouldnt insure the JDM vehicle unless you were already on a policy with them (Statefarm), while some companies just wouldnt touch them at all. I called about 10 places and found a few that would insure me. And yes, the cars do need appraisals no matter what to get insurance. Im going with a company called Zehr insurance. For them to insure me they need all the regular stuff and the appraisal and photos, which the appraiser should take.
its not the fact that these cars are RHD that is the problem, it’s because they don’t have valid USDM vin’s that makes it a problem for insurance companies

Most JDM cars have 12-13 digit vin’s… If you’re having difficulty; ask about a 19a insurance policy based on appraisal value…
