1982 Ford F-150 351 4x4
Body was shit but the guy i got it off of supplied new fenders and doors, frame is in great condition and sometime soon i’ll probably be replacing the bed also. New exhaust being installed by 7.5 within the next 2 weeks or so. My question is, all the parts obviously are unpainted…simply primed and ready for paint, what should i do for the winter protection? leave it primered or get something done to it
another piece of shit congrats
Primer will be fine. It won’t rust like it would if it was bare.
y dont you just get something newer/better wtf do you keep buying jalopies for?
this truck was given to me with new body parts and i paid nothing for it, just something to have fun with in my spare time, and new? I daily drive a 2007 TB why the hell do i need something newer?
And on another note this vehicle will end up being used while going to and from work, seems gay trucker and fat boy forgot i work in the mill, it’s nothing near clean and i’ll be damned if i take the trailblazer in there and get it all nasty
old ford trucks rule
primer is porus and will let the metal rust. get a few spray cans and at least put a layer of paint down to get thru the winter and then get them painted for good when you get the time and money.
I can sell you a 390BBF if your motor isn’t strong enough.
:stupid:
Driving>walking
Keep the trash out of this thread, we have off topic and e-fighting for a reason.
Zack and 77red thanks for the info
Well if the primer is indeed porus, I guess it won’t do you any good. I see cars in primer than aren’t rusty… so I don’t know anymore.
post pics. love old ford trucks!
