I am currently running my sr20det at stock boost, however, I do have a boost controller and am looking at upping the boost to around 9-10psi (daily driver). I do not have the money for a major tuning product such as apexi-fc, or aem ecu. My question to the mature people of son, is:
Is it possible to tune my vehicle without a program like the apexi-fc, or aem? And is there a relatively cheap alternative to tuning the vehicle, such as a chipped ecu?
Since you aren’t doing any crazy mods or higher boost upgrades, just get an SAFC to fine tune any adjustments you need after raising boost.
AEM, PowerFC, Vipec, whatever, will require you to spend quit ea bit of time to get it running right in all aspects (cruising, boosting, accel tip in, decel, idle, etc. etc.).
