Quick question about lazy-eye toggle switch

So yea, I put in a toggle switch today for the lazy eye. Took like 20min.
I used 18AWG wire between switch and harness, and the switch had like
14AWG wire already so it must be a heavy duty switch.

When the switch is ON, the dash headlight toggle switch will work
normally. No problem there.

Now to do lazy-eye, you do:

  • Push dash button to pop up headlight
  • Put toggle switch in OFF position
  • Push dash button to put down headlight (since toggle is OFF, headlight won’t go down)
  • Now flick toggle switch ON/OFF to get desired height

To keep the headlight partially up, the toggle switch will remain in OFF
position.

Question is, is there any kind of load put on the switch cuz the headlight
is partially open? Just curious.

There is no load on the switch, it just doesnt give it signal to close the headlight the rest of the way. This mod won’t do any damage, so there is nothing to worry about.

Yea I figured the motor was the only thing that’d fudge up. I don’t play
with the toggle as much. I usually get the desired sleepy position in
one shot anyways. :slight_smile:
