R34 Japanese Sales Brochure

So, before my boyfriend took off back to Japan he let me snap a couple of pictures of the sales brochure for the R34 and I figured I’d share, because I think it’s pretty snazzy. Hard cover and the whole 9 yards for a free sales brochure, I love the Japanese.

I didn’t take a picture of every page because, well, where would be the fun in that? But here are some of the more interesting pages. Sorry if some of them are a little hard to see, he didn’t want to lay the book flat and crease the spine, hahaha.

Awesome! Nice find, also my favorite JDM. I am in the process of locating one and importing it (R34), just need to figure out how to get it through customs and pay for it of course. I have some business acquaintances that import cars into Canada, and we are trying to figure out the logistics of getting an R34 into Canada and being able to drive it daily.

That sounds sweet~! If you have any luck I’d love to hear how you did it!

why ? why ? it wont be legal man …

sucks to have it crushed and nobody to blame but yourself for trying to bend rules

nice find!!!

well there is one way of getting that R34 here and being able to regester it here…
get it shipped in peices and build it here in your garage. of course it would be more expensive but i think worth it. i think the canadian government would consider letting it stay because it was assembled as a “kit car” and not imported all at once.
theres one guy here in edmonton i think who had it shipped over here in peices and assembled it here. i think thats what made it legal here.

But why not just wait 3 more years? Is it not legal as of 2013?

Of course, I suppose it might be easier to find one before then, seeing as the japanese are so unfond of cars any older than 15 years =\

I haven’t really looked into the whole importing a R34 personally, thats more my bfs interest/dream, so all I’ve heard along the way is that it’s legal to own one as a track car but not for DD (not that anyone wouldn’t know that).
Though he was mentioning that one of his friends who owns an import company over in Calgary is also trying to find a way to get one over here legally.

You need to know your way around the system, they can’t crush it, period. It is totally legal to have one in Canada, read the laws bud. Believe me, I work in the industry and have done tons of research, besides there are already R34’s for sale in Canada that haven’t been crushed or seized by the JDM Nazi’s.

You cannot register an R34 as a daily driver, only a show car or race car. But having a dealer plate may solve that issue. I am in the process of getting all the info straight and I will keep you guys posted on my findings.

have you ever got an “abuse of dealer plate” ticket? I am guessing not. Driving around with other people who are not employees or customers and after business hours will get you these kind of tickets. So unless you are feeling lucky 24/7/365 then GL

I know the laws and have imported many many …many cars …

I know of people who have imported ones as 1989 Nissan Skylines and have slipped though as well as Japanese citizens bringing their personal cars here when they get a work VISA or Canadian citizenship. There are loopholes and plain holes in the system where you can do something shady but it is not worth it when they actually get seized crushed and you will get fined.

Lol. If theres one person I would take advice from in regards to importing cars is Scott (typhoon).

Well, like I said before, I’m still working on figuring out how to get one in. There are already R34’s legally in Canada, so I really don’t see why it would be so hard. The dealer plate thing I can kind of see, but I know lots of people who drive with them 24/7/365 so unless you are doing something really stupid like speeding or stunting. Anyways, not trying to start a pissing contest, just trying to get my hands on this really sweet 2003 R34 I found.

its just like saying I know alot of people who drive without insurance or registration … AND THEY HAVE NEVER GOT IN TROUBLE …yet

there are many R33 GTR and R34 GTR out east which are shady and mostly illegal … look up on this subject on gtrcanada.com as many people have discussed this over and over with no resolution

superb brains they had and they are very clever and i liked the blue as i am favorite to it.
