Blinder looks cheap, and the base model costs the same as a zr3 and it only comes with 1 jammer instead of 3.
And you cant get lidatek in this country.

Umm. you can get Lidatek in US, tons of people on BMW boards run it - seems to be a perennial favorite.
And Zr3($450 list+install) is $100 more than blinder m20 ($350list) and is not sold without installation (at last not guaranteed).
M20 comes with two jammer units that are wired up much like the escorts with the “phone wire” and I can’t even begin to imagine where to install the rear one on the Zr-3… I’ll have to drill through the trunk lid or something… actually ,did anybody here ever got a LDIAR ticket when hit from the back? In Rochacha I’ve always been hit head-on.
I’ve had both the X50 escort 8500 & the V1 POP 1.8.
V1 > escort, if you have the cash.

I was going by ebay prices, and forgot about installation since I could do it myself. The rear jammer mounts to the license plate.
Escort is a more trusted brand than blinder, so I would still go with the zr3.
I bought a 8500 many a year ago. I called the other day cause Im having a problem with it…it goes off laser when I accelerate, they told me it was due to a device inside that stops that from happening going bad.<-- just in case someone else has the same prob.
so when I called they said $80 and they will do a refurb on it, fix my problem and make it like new or something. I asked it they update it and they said there is nothing to update.

Yeah, the jammer itself is not a problem - the wire is, plus it is obviously apparent to the cops following you.

I’ll take the one that tests/works better over the one that you trust more.
Oh yeah, and the radar detector to get in upstate NY, considering the Canada is nearby is Beltronics STi Driver. It is pretty much 8500 + invisibility to Spectre RD
I own a v1…it has saved me numerous times where a normal detector wouldn’t
But my word of advice would be to not speed on money makers (highways) when it is nice out.
I have seen cops hiding in bushs (yes…without there cars) shooting laser… insane.
The 219 is the worst road I know of in WNY.
I know V1 offers free updates on outdated models!
