No it’s not, the valentine one is the best period. I have had friends of mine following me with passports bell’s etc etc. and my v-1 was always the first to go off. Tested again and again and the V-1 always won out.
And i drive fast- not fast, but fuking fast. I’m always in a hurry and my v-1 has payed for itself about twenty to thirty times by now. There no guarantee but at 98% thats close enough for me.
the beltronics can’t be that great of circuitry, the noise from that detector has cancelled out my v1’s warning altogether a few times when i’ve been on drives with pete (germanmusclecars) where he’ll pick up a plain-as-day k or ka band, and the v1 will be silent as a church mouse, just because he’s behind me…
even for those speed checker signs :wtf
I have a Escort 8500 x50 and honestly the V1 wins. I dont have the need to detect cops from that far away because I rarely drive that fast anymore but I have to say that there are probably so many detectors that are close that I would choose one on available features rather than overall sensitivity. The V1 wins overall early detection but only by a thin margin. Just dont buy a cheap Wallmart Cobra and you should be satisfiesd with performance
A friend was following me back from the valley one night (not Hudson Valley) ,or at least trying to, and I was moving! 140+ and I picked up a trooper on I90 from enough distance away that I was able to slow down to the speed limit before we crested the hill where he could gun me. My friend was behind me in his 07 Civic Si with the most badass Cobra detector money could buy. He told me later that night at dinner that it was a good thing he slowed down when he saw my brake lights cause the Cobra never picked up the trooper, he thaught I saw deer or something.
oh i’ve had some INSANE saves by the v1…but i swear to god it has this feature that when i go WOT it sounds the Ka alarm to keep me humble :rofl

I just like the valentine cause it is updateable. You can check the website for new versions and send it back in and have it updated for a fee

i have a cobra pro1978 (i think thats the model anyways) and i got it for $20, probably stolen oh well, and its saved me numerous times
listen to me now, you may think it saved you, but that cop either didnt have the radar aimed your way, or he decided not to pull you over.
