taiwanese made shitty detectors that are shipped around and re-badged for w/e shady company is selling them over the radio.

I think everyone realizes now that nothing really compares to the V1 except the X50 and bel rx65. I have the escort x50 blue right now, but will be ordering the V1 within 2 weeks. The x50 is good, but the V1 has arrows and i think is better with laser.
man its gotta be tough to keep up with all of these, they arent cheap whats the v1 like $400+
yeah, the big problem with laser is the reaction time you have. little to none. when you get painted with it, thats pretty much “all she wrote.” :angry2
Yeah the only thing laser warning is good for is the laser reflection/distance spread…the beam of the laser 5 ft away from an avg gun is like less than an inch, but at 1000 ft its like just under 2 ft iirc, and basically what the v1 does is try to detect the stray light from the laser coming off the car in front of you…

I think V1 is great but the only thing I don’t like is at night when I first got it i wasnt used to the sounds of K and KA yet and it was hard to read cuz its all red dots.
V1 is worth its weight in gold.
so i repo’d a car yesterday, that was being sent to the crusher (92 cavilar) LOL and what did it have? a V-1 only i had to pay 50bux for it, i wanted to ditch my cobra, since there updating software, and plus the cobra sucks major pee pee for the 120 i paid

and to make it worse, i got pulled over on my way to work at 10am on the northway past exit 17., for going 75 in a 65, The trooper was funny no ticket just " get your exhust plugged"
but what he said when he pulled me over, is not licence and reg … no it was…

2 days ago I was going to my friends house. I get on 87 and get up to 80-85 and a red 2 door bmw catches up to me between exit 10 and 9 and starts drafting off me. we move along and as i pass the twins and the road starts to curve, i slow down to about 70 because i remember seeing lots of troopers on the highway in the morning. I pass the usual spot and no cop. I get back up to ~80 and keep moving. The BMW matches my speed and keeps on me. As we pass Sam’s club my little windshield buffy shows the usual X band along with a K band out in the distance(indicated by a single light). Once the 2nd and 3rd light goes on I drop my speed down to 55-60 and get into the middle lane. The other german rocket whizzes past me moving about 80. As I approach exit 5, I see the BMW just FLY by the usual spot and a state trooper suburban jump out onto the road and get right on the BMW’s tail. Thanks, Valentine :nod Love ya
Yea, V1 is the best. It saved me numerous times and detects radars way farther then any of the 3 cobras I had in last couple of years. Just yesterday I was coming back from work at 8pm on Balltown rd in Schenectady. There was no cars in front or behind with speed limit of 35 and I was going 46-50mph. Quarter mile away from balltown/rt7 intersection road curves left my V1 gave me some Ka band alert when I stared to enter the curve so I slowed down to PSL and when I got out of the curve there was a sheriff car in oncoming lane. Arrows just own every other detector out there. There is no way I buy any other RD in the future.
I was in radio shack the other day and I was just looking at what they are charging for cobras… I was asked if i needed any help with the radar detectors… I was like yeah, if i was to buy one what one would be the best. He goes you pay for what you get but I wouldnt own anything else but a cobra. I looked at him and laughed and was alright thx for your help. NOT lol. I also own the V1 and love it to death.
