Nice this gets me motivated to get my integra going now
just raced today in west virginia. 1st overall was an subaru impreza awd all motor car. 2nd place overall, 1st in his class was a 1.5l 4 door 92-95 civic. i took 2nd in class, 3rd overall w/ my bone stock 93 civic ex.
the 4 door civic driver had fastest lap of the day–115.12 or something. he ended up getting me by a second. going into last run, i may have had a .04 lead on him. last run i went 116.36 --> my best run, and he busted out the 115. sad thing is, he had one previous 115 run but killed a stake. so 2 second penalty. he was on it today.
I am interested in the july 14th race just a few questions, what is the safety like around the track? If cars spin out of control what do you hit, guard rail? cement barrier? another car? whats the safety like?
you go 1 at a time and your top speed might be 40mph if you have a fast car.
If you would happin to spin out of control most of the markers are cones but surrounding the track is Very big rubber tires
Wow, that was a good time. You guys (organizers) def. know what you’re doing and make it unbelieveably fun for us. Thank you so much.
The course was a bit tight and mostly 1st gear with a lot of rev-limit lovin’ and some low 2nd gear action. I def. got a workout manhandling the steering wheel. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay for the full 6 runs but made up for it by having lots of fun on my last run. If anyone saw the 1080 by the entrance/exit to the course by the box…that was me.
Maybe next time I’ll bring some tires that have more than 1/32nds of tread on them :itr41:

the remainder of the hundred wv races have been canceled. The place who was letting us use the land has decided against us racing and wants to use the land for other stuff.

I just got wind of this myself! I am going to try to plan on bringing the alltrac out. all I need to do is change some wheelstuds and tie down the battery…
Saturday was a great time. Chris from Beaverun really did a great job of having courses available for any weather condition.
The day started cold and dry, then after lunch it got snowy. By 4 there were a couple inches of snow on the course.
Chris tells me there will be another one in mid January, and probably another in mid February. I’ll make sure the details get posted up when available. Come on out.
